This live in London dvd is quite simply breathtaking. Back after many years are the original line-up to give one of the most energetic and accomplished live performances by any thrash band I've seen, and that must said is a hell of a lot!

Testament are only really Testament when Skolnick is back at helm and on this live performance he doesn't disappoint. His guitar skills are sublime and gives the band back that authentic sound they lost when he went off to play his jazz stuff.

But of course it's not all about Skolnick. Eric Peterson I reckon is one of the most underrated rhythm guitarists out there and when partnering Skolnick they sound killer.

Chuck Billy is phenomenal and it really is a delight to see him back at his best after his illness, it almost brings tears to the eyes (I'm a sentimental fool). His vocals are as vital as ever and he hasn't lost one iota of aggression whilst banging out the old classics.

Drum wise, Tempesta plays the first half of the set and really does take some beating at skin bashing and the second half of the set the original drummer Louie Clemente does a real good accomplished job at keeping rhythm as he confesses he hasn't played drums for over 10 years!

Greg Christian the bassist just seemed stunned by the whole thing like he can't believe there all playing together again! He really does give an excellent performance.

All in all this live dvd performance is brimming with energy and makes me proud to be a thrash metal fan. Some may say they're stuck in the past knocking out all the old tunes again, but who cares when it sounds this good. Check out the 5.1 DTS mix it takes the sound quality to a whole new level almost like the guys are in the room with you (I wish).

Well worth purchasing.

I got it and watched it all the way through straight away no problem. The best thing was pretty much all the tracks were new to me cos alot of the songs that were played are on the albums before souls in black.

I loved the whole thing. Proper metal played how it should be played or should i just say damn good music. Its a wicked gig. Its tight and the sound quality is good. I was interested to see how chuck billy sounded live and he sounds just as good as he does on the cd no doubt.

If you like testament why do you not have this yet?

I have quite a few live dvds and this is one of my best and i've only watched it once.

ITS AMAZING AND I'M GONNA WATCH IT AGAIN TONIGHT WITH A BOX OF TISSUES.

Filmed in 2005, this is one of the best live shows I've seen on DVD. Testament are on top form here playing their thrash metal classics to a very keen audience. It's a thoroughly engaging gig that's well filmed with good sound and picture quality; classy stuff! It comes with an extra featuring interviews with the band members which is pretty interesting too (I didn't know Chuck Billy ever had cancer!!!). This show now takes pride of place among my treasured concert-film collection and I'll definately be on the lookout for tickets if they play in the U.K. again anytime in the future! Testament are very cool - a highly recommended purchase. " F U C K Y E A H ! "

Excellent live show featuring the original members of thrash metal outfit Testament at a reunion concert in London. Before I bought it I read the reviews and found most giving this a 3.5 out of 5 rating. I am not a Testament groupie although I do like quite a lot of their music but I found this show to be very, very good. The sound quality was excellent, the camera work was good and the songs themselves were well performed. My only criticism is the length of the concert which could have been longer. Following the concert there is also an interview with lead singer Chuck Billy who returned to the band following treatment for cancer. As I said earlier: I'm not a Testament groupie: I just love good hard rock music and fair play to these guys: they delivered it.
