Steve Hackett's reputation was founded on his outstanding guitar playing with Genesis covering much of the 1970s. After leaving the band in 1997, Steve recorded a series of critically acclaimed albums. This DVD presents Steve live in concert in Nottingham in 1990.

HASH(0x8b112ac8) out of 5 stars Steve Hackett Live - earliest live video available 14 Oct. 2009

This is a great show from 1990 showcasing Steve with his brother John and crack backing band in good humor and highlighting some of his best material. Several tracks that had been included on Laserdisc are missing, most notably "Jacuzzi", but still a great set list including "Camino Royale", "Everyday", and "In That Quiet Earth". Recommended to fans of Steve's work, and others who like Genesis, and similar progressive rock groups. Excellent camera work and well timed capture of the musicians exact movements. Full track listing:

Camino Royale
Please Don't Touch
In That Quiet Earth

In the Heart of the City
Theatre of Sleep

HASH(0x8b4ef468) out of 5 stars His first show was quite the rock roller coaster. 3 Feb. 2013

If you're a Steve Hackett collector, I'd recommend buying this DVD. It has many classics that shine through, such as Camino Royale, Everyday, In That Quiet Earth and, of course, Clocks. It's a very short show. It may have been pieced together from a bigger show in a sound studio, but it isn't bad at all. Again, this was Steve's first official concert recording. Spectral Morning was recorded for TV and not release. Anyhow, get this album! It's the only time you see "In The Heart of the City" performed on camera.
