Can't fault the performance by Suzanne at all - her voice is faultless as always. She sings as she always has done and hasn't gone the route of messing about with the songs so that they are no longer as they were. So many artists do that. When songs are this perfect you don't change a thing.
There are a few other songs I would have liked in the set but all in all the choices are good ones.
The camera work and the sound is excellent, but (and here comes the niggle) the lead guitar is too far back in the mix.
There are occasional solo`s that are just not heard at all, most noticable in Luka. An injustice to a decent guitarist.
Having said that, the sound is fabulously delicious - it is still a great dvd and worth every penny. Except for the above niggle, it would have got 5 stars.

The highlight of this Blu-ray is Phil's one-off Montreux show in 2004. The massive stage set that was used throughout the First Final Farewell Tour isn't to be seen here - it's principally just Phil and the band on stage belting out the hits, and, surprisingly, I found the show was the better for it. There are no distractions here, just great musicians playing through 25 years worth of material with energy and passion.
Many Blu-rays are a real let down to watch... but not this one! The picture is razor sharp and you really feel like it could have been shot yesterday. Thankfully, the picture quality is matched by the audio which is clear, well mixed and, for once, the bass frequencies haven't been watered down.
And then, almost as a bonus, we also get to see the Phil Collins Big Band at the same venue in 1996. His jazz re-workings will not be to everyone's taste, but there are some great moments to take in from this gig. The sax solo on Against All Odds, for example, is a thing of beauty.
It is a shame that the Big Band gig didn't get the full Blu-ray treatment. It is shown here in decent DVD picture format, but again the sound is rounded and well produced. One word of warning though: Phil does seem to lay into his cymbals every 2 seconds or so. Even though I'm a drummer myself (largely because of Phil!), I did find it slightly irritating.
One minor gripe I have is that there is an excellent, made-for-TV documentary in existence which documented Phil's build up to the 1996 Big Band gigs. It showed how the project evolved from day one and it was interesting to see Phil getting up to speed with jazz drumming and how the project evolved throughout the rehearsal process.

I have enjoyed it for five stars! But only 4 because of the sound mix. DTS-HD Master track is nothing but minimal gain over standard dts! It is named on blu-ray disc as Mstr but receiver clearly reds it as DTS 48kHz, 1536kbps. Standard dts is constant bit rate, and mstr is bit for bit variable. So, if you have disc that is so low on specs like this one, it is mstr just to say it so, but in soud - difference is so miniaturised that it can not be appreciated at all, the same specs are found on any DTS. I was hoping for more. The sound on the First Farewell Tour dvd is at least equal to this, and it's standard dvd. But big plus for this over Farewell tour is that vocals are in full assembly, unlike on other edition which is serious flaw... But story for review of that one... Another "plus" is Amy Kies tastelessly primaly almost breast naked... Camera went never close enough to question her moral...
Sound on dts sounds clinically excellent but is too full, almost flat. Standard DD sounds a bit quieter but is much more involving, livelier! Phill's voice is much clearer on DD also, great and noticeable difference to the dts mix. Regrettably, that's it.

It's such a shame, if you're at all into sound (and I'm a full time sound engineer) it's borderline unwatchable. Especially the brass, absolutely appalling. The whole thing sounds like it was recorded in a public toilet and mixed by a politician.

I already have the Final Farewell Tour (only on DVD) so wanted the full HD experience of a Phil Collins concert, which I got visually, but the audio is shockingly bad. I managed three songs in then had to turn it off. I hope the sound at the actual gig was better than the recording.

Get the Final Farewell Tour in Paris DVD and watch it on a smaller screen or sit further away!

I Buy this BD and i can tell you, in one word is just " Amazing " best picture 1080 i but whit superb quality and very very detail. The Sound Is Superb but only with de PCM STEREO, because in DTS-HD Master Audio missing a lot of LF , and the MF are very confused too ear, but still are one off the Best Buys only similar to the Hit Man - David Foster and Friends I and II, and the 75th Birthay celebration of Quincy jones.

What a band, brilliant.

You get 2 concerts for the price of one... Excellent sound and picture quality. I love the bonus concert with the Big Band - a superb version of Los Endos being my highlight.
