Product Description

Synopsis

This is the most comprehensive collection of the landmark comic strip by the legendary Winsor McCay. This is the first in a full color oversized collection of the signature strip from America's greatest comic illustrator of all time. It includes rare Nemo promo art, the series that featured many of Nemo's characters first "Tales of The Jungle Imp" in color, and that wonderful New strip from 1905-1909.

Somewhere in the 90's i bought the complete little nemo in slumberland/in the land of wonderful dreams volume v.

Little nemo is a little boy that have all kinds of bizarre adventures in his dreams.every adventure is just 1 page.this is the simple story about little nemo but there's more to talk about.

The drawings are from a very very high level signed with much imagination and sense but sometimes also very murky and surreal.the stories are with great feeling for detail and perspective mapped also the colours are very beautiful.

Little nemo is must have just give it a try and surprise yourself with one of the greatest fantasy comic strip ever.

This is the best example of art reproduction i own. My collection includes many 'luxury hardbacks' - the Russ Cochran EC Horror sets to name a few, but So Many Splendid Sundays goes way beyond the norm in quality. The broad sheet pages have been cleaned-up but not altered in any way and the printing is done with subtlety and care. The whole book has the feel of a labour of love. If you are a Little Nemo fan you will definitely not regret purchasing this book!

1.0 out of 5 stars poor quality 12 Dec. 2010
By stanbr82 - Published on Amazon.com

I've been using Amazon for years and have never felt compelled to write a review before, but I feel that I must let other shoppers know not to waste nearly $30 on a product of such poor quality. I purchased this book for my boyfriend, an avid Little Nemo fan, for christmas and was really excited to give it to him. I was so disappointed when I opened the book up to find that the words are basically illegible and the art is blurry. I'm going to return this and buy one of the obviously better quality but way more expensive anthologies when I have more money to spend.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Waste of Money 21 Oct. 2012
By Kemp - Published on Amazon.com

Having recently found out about this comic series, I ordered this book for my sons who adore Tin Tin. Despite the poor reviews (the person who gave this a 5 star review is either blind or has a financial relationship to this product), I bought the book becuase I didn't want to spend hundreds on a better quality book. As much as I wanted it to work out, it was a total disaster as the text is not able to be read. One picture looked like water was spilled on it. Massive disappointment. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! Fantastic fail.

1.0 out of 5 stars only an ant can read the text 8 Nov. 2012

I was so excited to get this copy being a fan of Little Nemo when I was a kid. I was SEVERELY disappointed that I could not read the text, and the usually amazingly vivid artwork (that I remember from the other collections of Little Nemo that I had read) was just not there. I know it's cheaper than the big, brilliant collections, but please save your $30.00. I only wish I had read the reviews here BEFORE I went to the all the trouble to purchase this thing.

Amazon, please stop selling these copies.
2.0 out of 5 stars Good price, but blurry art & tiny writing too small to really read 11 Jan. 2017
By VegasMom - Published on Amazon.com

The only good thing about this is the price, compared to how expensive all other books of this vintage comic are. The printing is so small that you can't read any of the words without a magnifying glass. The art is lovely as expected but sadly a little blurry. It's a good introduction to this magical comic, but it just won't do for anyone looking to really enjoy the artwork and stories.

1.0 out of 5 stars A waste of money 5 Jun. 2013
By lifeless1 - Published on Amazon.com

When I saw 1.5/5 average, if I fully noticed it at all, I thought it was simply an anomaly due to a lack of reviews. This is not the case; it is as bad (or worse) than that. The comics themselves are so poorly scanned that it takes as much time to read one panel as it should take read the entire comic. Not only are comics nearly unreadable, but Windsor McCay's delightful art suffers greatly. Plus, at $20, it is severely over-priced for something that is in the public domain. High quality versions of these same strips (plus missing strips from 1905) are FREELY available online. Do not buy this collection!
