I just can't get enough of the best friends turned lovers storyline; it's one of my favorites. I think I like it so much because there is history there and usually a lot of built up sexual tension. That is exactly what Ana and Erik had in this book. After two years of being really good friends, they decide they cannot ignore the obvious anymore and take the plunge and move quickly to an exclusive committed relationship.
I enjoyed this mature relationship. I like that neither Erik nor Ana played games. Erik certainly fit the bill of a "Knight". His love for Ana was really beautiful. One of my favorite scenes is when he told Ana they could not be "friends with benefits", that was a classy act. Ana respected Erik as much as she loved him and that made for a special kind of love (maybe a tad too perfect). My favorite character in the story was Drusilla. She has a lot of spunk for a great grandmother and she called it as she saw fit.
I've been reading this authors work for years. I like that her writing keeps up with the times and stays relevant yet timeless. Good job.
First the lead lady "Ana was ignoring, bougie, childish, and not ready for marriage in my pov.. I love romance but this did not fit the bill... Ana had a friend "Eric that was rich, handsome, and smart but she was selfish.. If your engage to be married you would be glad to spend the holiday with your man without acting like a brat not Ana not only that she put herself in a situation that no man should have to deal with or vice versa I just didn't feel the romance in this story I read other books from this author and all the woman leads are to difficult.. I like for my romance to flow
