When this item arrived, one of the sides had literally snapped in half. The problem area was the left hand side as you see it in the picture above. The part that the child stands in fits through some slats and those slats are very close to the edge of the side, leaving a very thin bit of material. I say 'material' because from what we could see where it snapped, it was very flimsy stuff, almost like compressed cardboard. After seeing how cheap the materials seemed to be and how easily it broke, we decided against a replacement and went for the Learning Tower instead. This is much more robust and we are very happy with it.

The little one started walking at nine months and he wants to know what we're doing above his eye level. I was concerned about the expense and the room the funpod would take up but I've found it to be a great option because

A. It's amazingly stable even though he's a wriggler.

B. It's easy to put together and easy to move around once assembled.

C. He actually asks to get in it. He doesn't seem to feel it's confining and has not once asked to get out of it. As it would be silly to leave the room while he's in it on a couple of occasions I've had to take a very unwilling, shouting baby out of it.

D. It's easy to clean. When baking I let him try the various foods and he can drop and safely pick up things like sultanas around his feet.

E. When I first took the footplate thing out for cleaning I was worried I'd break it, called the helpline and they were really nice. It's so easy I should've been able to figure it out but, you know, tired, end of the day ...

F. Unlike things that they can get in and out of themselves, at crucial points like oven transfers etc I can safely pay full attention to what I'm doing for a few vital seconds. I'm getting less burns and accidents.

G. When not in use I tend to put things in it/on it and it helps in that way too. It's actually a bit smaller than I was thinking and doesn't seem to get in the way.

H. I love it. WE love it. It was well worth the money for the peace of mind and for him being able to play with water toys in the sink instead of howling round my ankles when I'm cooking. He also can see what I'm doing and I tend to explain processes while I'm doing them, so (in my opinion) it's educationally advantageous too.

Yaaay, Funpod! Obviously designed by real parents. It works.

I ordered this as I have a toddler that's into dragging chairs across the floor to the sink so he can wash up/prep dinner etc. He kept falling off the chair as he spilled water everywhere and it became sloppy. This was the perfect solution. The height is adjustable which is fantastic because it means you can lower it so that they cant reach the taps / cupboards etc. A great product and one I have recommended to many people.

I bought this for our son when he was 18 months old and he is still using it today at 3.5 years old. Great, safe way to have a child in the kitchen with you. They can watch/help you prepare meals so they understand what the ingredients are. My son also likes to stand in it and play with his toys on the worktop if he gets bored of helping me cook!
Worthwhile investment given the number of years use we have gotten from it.

My little boy loves this & so do I. He was getting fed up of always being on the floor in the kitchen & my back was beginning to ache with constantly lifting him. He loves his box, he stands at the kitchen sink & splashes about & attempts to help me by taking everything out of the drawers! At least i knoe he is safe in there & I am able to do a bit of cooking whilst he's doing this!! I'm sure as he gets older he'll be able to help me with cooking etc. Love this item, great purchase

I bought this originally as I was having problems getting anything done safely in the kitchen with my toddler walking around, or wanting to be picked up, trying to see what I was doing! She loved it immediately (she was 18months old at the time) and still does (2.5yrs old now) - she loves being up high and 'helping' out! I love that she is in there safely and cant get in and out constantly (like she would be able to in the other pods of similar type on the market). The fun pod I received arrived in perfect condition - shipping to Switzerland. My husband recently damaged the floorplate (by dropping it from a height onto a tiled floor!) and I contacted the little helper customer service department for a replacement - their service was excellent and they went above and beyond to help me out. I would recommend this product and company very highly.

I bought this for my 21 month old and wish I had bought one sooner. I put it together by myself whilst my daughter was playing. It fits right up to the work top and we have now made cookies and she stands there and watches me make dinner etc. Instead of crying when I have to keep her out of the kitchen for safety she can now be with me out of harms way. She likes to play boo in it. It does taken up a bit of space but it looks tidy and can be used to store stuff in when you not using it. I think we will get loads of use out of this especially as we do more cooking as she gets a bit older. Initially a bit expensive but worth it.
