I was not disappointed! I only wish I'd been reading them at the time they were written and seen the comments people had written. I've also just worked out that looking at it on the phone Kindle app I can see the pics in colour rather than the black and white my Kindle gave me!
It is especially easy to relate to her writing when you have young children of your own.
Not for the faint hearted (due to the multiple mentions of bodily fluids!), the book is very well written and has a wonderful mix of hilarious posts and those more serious posts and will leave you wishing you too had an extraordinary a*se and such a cracking set of pins!
This is a very personal accounting of a period in her life which I'm sure will resonate with anyone who reads it. I'm searching immediately for anything else she has written!
Brilliantly written, through the sad times and the good ones, and I'm so glad she decided to edit and compile her blog posts into this format. She's a very talented and very funny writer and I look forward to reading more of her work.
Easy to read, funny in places, ranty in others, and often emotional - as a single dad I related to much of the content, a real "human" streak in it. It reflects that it's a book about real life and raw emotions, and always felt a little voyeuristic at times reading it.
Would I recommend it ? Hell yeah, but I think some people will get more enjoyment out of it than other, but if you've got kids, had kids, or are thinking about it, it'll be a good read...
I have been reading it nodding in agreement, laughing out loud and reading extracts out to my husband many many times.
Frances is such a great writer, and this is perfect for mummy's wanting something to read during those quiet night feeds, or just for anyone wanting a giggle at parenthood.
