This book is about the concept of mindfulness- which means- living in the present moment non- judgementally. It has concise and clear guidance, together with pictures- on how to use this skill. It is simple and very easy to read. I use it for myself to deal with my feelings especially anxiety- and also try to reach this skill to my clients with mental health problems. I have bought this book for myself and also bought another one for my mum, and she really liked it.

This is an excellent little book on the subject of Mindfulness. I have attended an eight week course, but I believe this book is even more effective than that. The subject is encapsulated brilliantly in an easily digestible format. In my opinion, this book should be offered for sale to all people attending the NHS Mindfulness courses. It has a durable cover and can be popped in a jacket pocket (or handbag as a previous reviewer has noted) and be there for reference any time required. This book can make a real difference and it easily deserves the five stars I have given it.

Bought this book because it's aim is short bursts of meditation etc., on Mindfulness - which during busy times seemed perfect. The first copy I bought was taken over by a family member living a particularly stressful existence - so I had to buy another. I found it to be a nice, useful little book which was not too overpowering or daunting to read and take on board.

I am a Mindfulness teacher and always on the look-out for simple, accessible practices for myself and my students. This little book can fit into a pocket of a handbag, so is very portable. Take it to work, on journeys, on holiday, have it handy for when you are unwell. The practices are beautifully clear and the illustrations delightful.
