The easiest way for me to start this review I to simply say that I LOVED IT!!! The blurb when reading it made this book an instant addition to my ‘I have got to read this’ pile. Sebastian Black is a man who does not trust anyone and who does not do emotions or love. That is until he meets his Jessica Rabbit.

Yes I did say his Jessica Rabbit, you see in his little black book of women that he calls on (and pays) to fulfil his needs he has them all listed as a cartoon name, he does not want to know their names. Rosslyn is the complete opposite to Sebastian in that she is innocent, and I mean innocent (I know don’t groan and think 22year old virgin, her background makes this believable). This is something that helps build the relationship between the two as unlike his other women he has to ease her into the role that he wants her to play leading to him getting to know her better.

It is at this stage that I suppose that I ought to point out that Rosslyn has a kid brother, Kyle, and that her grandmother, who raised them both, has recently died leaving them in a desperate situation. There are another couple of characters that appear throughout the story, Roz’s friend, Trish, and Sebastian’s…. let’s say friend for want of a better word, Vick.

Both of them have pasts, Roz’s gone into in depth relatively quickly while Sebastian’s you get drip fed through memory flashbacks and things said throughout the story, it is how those pasts will affect their relationship that is key.

Now that I have covered the basics of the story let me turn to the sex scenes and chemistry between the two of them, damn its hot, no seriously it is HOT. Perhaps it is best to not sit and read it while in a public place, such as a coffee shop like I did!

I loved this book it keeps you second guessing. You know something will happen but you can't figure it out no matter what. It's raw, emotional and so romantic. You just cant help but love Jessica aka Rosslyn and Sebastian.

Sebastian has rules. These rules are simple and if you can't follow the simple rule, then all payments stop and your crossed out. It's as simple as that.

But what happens when the rules he has put in place start to slowly break around him?

Let's face it rules are there to be broken and boy did Jessica break his rules.

But can the one man who didn't believe in love and happy ever after truly fall in love with his one and only Jessica Rabbit or can the past and Vick hold him back?

Rosslyn has been through more heartache than one young woman should. She has seen things that would mentally and physically break you. But her strength keeps her going. With her young brother left to care for we see her go on a journey to protect them both, no matter what the cost is.

But no matter what promises she makes something always gets in her way. But this time the one person who gets in her way is the one who will break her heart and shatter all her dreams.

The devil himself gave her an offer. A offer he knew damn well she would take. It was all a game to him, a game he had played well and succeeded many times before. But this game was totally different to him, she had wormed her way into him like no other. She was different.

She was Jessica Rabbit.

But when all is said and done can true love prevail or will Sebastian and Rosslyn fall at the first hurdle.

Contains spoliers - Ok i liked this book up until towards the end then wtf happened!! Here we had a good storyline going on and i was enjoying reading it, i knew there was a book 2 so was expecting a cliff hanger ending SPOILER (what i WOULD have liked, Ros finds out who Sebastian is, she runs..he doesnt know shes been in his safe, he doesnt know vick told her, vick plays games as we carry on into book 2, vick becomes more unstable, sebastian explains to ros when he finds out she knows, after shes kicked his butt but forgives him, vick stalks them, causes trouble etc)... but NO the ending goes like this, sebastian who wont fall in love with anyone, falls in love, he goes from hot/cold alpha male to puppy dog, he goes from had to softer than an ice cream - all within a few pages - then we have the end, wow talk about rushing it, again in few pages ros has ran away to her friend, vick finds her, shoots sebastian, ros kills vick, police are called...epilogue, HFN! I dont think i will be bothering with book 2 even though its the same characters do we really need another enemy making an appearance? the author should have left it at vick who wants revenge, not kill her off in book one and then bring in a whole other story.

Hmmm... All the 4 and 5 star ratings convinced me this was a great book....! What can I say, it's the usual millionaire with issues, girl with nothing. I have no idea why I keep buying these books! The twist near the end is just ridiculous and the ending seemed rushed..not to mention the main girl character made me want to scream! Read it if you have nothing better to do but don't expect much.
