Starting off the book with the two having a feud against each other was really great and even better was how it all changed once Jackson and Ash meet in person for the first time. The fact that they are complete opposite, yet not, made the building of the relationship so much more dynamic. I also loved that they were able to give support to each other through very hard situations and still come out with the love for each other and their close friends and family.
I highly recommend this book and the Conquest/LR/BHD series. They all show you the many struggles but also the love and happiness that everyone should have.
I'll give this story more than 5 bookies if there were any more to give. So 5 it is.
I enjoyed this story from the first line in to the sweet HEA which, to be honest was awesome since it's not just a conclusion to the story.
You see it coming from half the book in. It's a long HEA and it's just beautiful to read.
This book tells the story of the bad boy of the rock n roll world, rock star and lead singer of From Ashes, Ash Ivers. And country music singer Jackson Abrams.
And how they spend years b*tching at each other through the media. Never having met face to face before.
Until they do. And sparks fly. And then more sparks. And the sparks lead to the wildest, most intense fire ever...
Man are they HOT together! They are. Damn, are they ever, wow. Sex is off the charts sexy, hot, scorching and I need to work on my English to keep going but you get the idea.
Freaking awesome together.
And funny. Ash is a smart*ss and frakking hilarious. And the banter between him and Jackson or him and his band mates (which are great backup characters) is brilliant ^^ He's endearing. And hot tempered too, blows up with the shortest fuse xD But that never lasts long.
Gotta love him for how he backs Jackson up through the bad times that come at him. Haters gonna hate and one of the guys of the story is an assh*ole of huge proportions. More than one actually but this one gets the prize >.<
They have each other's backs no matter what and it's beautiful, heartwarming to watch.
POV switches throughout the story between Ash's and Jackson's which I love ;)
And all in all this book is just perfect.
You'll love it. I know I did. And I kinda want to read it again and I just finished it ;P
I love these two characters! Fell for both of them, couldn't help it. If you love The Conquest series, you will love this book. I have already started reading it again. It obviously has a HEA ending, but the story is well developed, plot is different than others I have read and I had to sit and finish it in one read!!! Enjoy!
This was a feel-good book with lots of laughs! Even when things weren't going well for Jackson, it warmed my heart because the support he got from Ash and the guys showed how much he was loved. The HOT sexy action between Ash and Jackson was pretty great, too.
I had never read a book by S.J. Frost before this one but loved this book so much that I have now downloaded six of her other books. I can't wait to start reading them but not before I read this one again!
They exchange comments for years through the press although they have never met in person. Jackson makes the first move to try to end the feud but it doesn't go smoothly and then the story really heats up.
I am a S.J. Frost fan and hope this is the beginning of a new series.
