Lita Doolan was born in Wales, to Irish parents, grew up in an English Boarding School, and returned to live in Middle England in her twenties. She worked in radio in New Hampshire and studied Art in New York City. Her first play, "Storm," won the Oxford Playhouse Playwright Award. During her stint as a Zoologist, she won the prestigious Oxford University Short Story Award. Her plays have been performed on both sides of the Atlantic; in London (Hampstead), Brighton, Cardiff and New Hampshire.
