Lisa Richardson is a writer and a zombie geek who loves to spend as much time as possible on the beach or in a camper van on the open road. The winner of Marie Claire's Inspire and Mentor scheme 2012, Lisa won the opportunity to be mentored by best selling author JoJo Moyes for one year. Her previous employment ranges from a magazine production assistant to demonstrating knitting and sewing machines (that she had no idea how to use). Lisa is proud to have friends that don't bat an eyelid when she calls them to say 'Who's up for shooting a short film? I have a script but we only have one night before the location is converted into flats. Lets go!' She lives in Folkestone, a crazy little seaside town in Kent, with her two children.
Blog of the Dead - Sophie was Lisa's first published novel and was inspired by watching Folkestone Zombie Walk 2011 and George A Romero's 'Diary of the Dead'. Set in Folkestone, it is the story of life during a zombie apocalypse, written as blog entries by a survivor called Sophie.
The book combines horror, humour, friendships and love in a dystopian world where powerful friendships are quickly formed and even quicker lost, and where zombies are not always the biggest threat.
