Seamless Roaming enables your enabled wireless device to automatically switch to the strongest Wi-Fi signal as you move between the different areas of your home*. This allows you to move freely while video chatting or streaming media on your tablet or smartphone without experiencing buffering or dropped calls.
Even if you don't have an enabled wireless device, Seamless Roaming ensures that your MAX-STREAM router and range extender work together efficiently to deliver a strong whole-home Wi-Fi signal.
Eliminates dead zones and increases Wi-Fi range
Stream 4 K and HD movies, play online games, download music and use all your favourite apps without interruption with this Wi-Fi extender. The RE7000 boosts Wi-Fi in hard-to-reach areas of your home, such as your garden or garage and increases the range of existing Wi-Fi signal.
Quick, easy setup with Spot Finder Technology
Setting up your RE7000 is easy. Simply use the Push Button Connect feature on the RE7000 range extender to automatically sync it to your router. Thanks to Spot Finder technology, you can set up your range extender in the right location for optimal performance using your smartphone, laptop or tablet.
Faster speeds and reliable connection from dual Wi-Fi bands
The RE7000 offers dual Wi-Fi bands of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz for combined speeds of up to 1.9 Gbps- double the performance of single band. You can manually assign newer Wireless-AC devices to the 5 GHz band, and assign older devices to the 2.4 GHz band. Using Crossband technology, the extender allows information to be simultaneously received on one band and transmitted on the other for a stronger signal.
Expand your network with Access Point Mode
You can configure the range extender to act as an AC Wi-Fi access point to extend your home network and reduce dead spots by adding Wi-Fi capabilities to your wired network. Simply connect the access point to your router or other wired internet adapter using a Gigabit Ethernet cable and place it where you need a wireless boost.
MU-MIMO Technology for multiple devices
With MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology, your whole household can simultaneously surf the Internet, stream HD movies, play online games and more- without experiencing any buffering or lag. MU-MIMO technology ensures you'll enjoy a faster and more efficient connection to every device.
Works with all Wi-Fi routers
This MU-MIMO range extender is compatible with all Wi-Fi routers, including those from Internet service providers. Plus, you needn't adjust your router's settings when installing this range extender.
Beamforming Technology focuses Wi-Fi signal
Play games, listen to music, check emails, shop, stream movies and more - without having to worry about signal drop-off. This Wi-Fi signal booster uses Beamforming technology to direct Wi-Fi signals to each device for increased signal strength and coverage.
Fast wired connection with Gigabit ethernet port
You can also connect wired devices such as gaming consoles, Blu-ray players, Smart TVs or streaming players to your Wi-Fi network using the range extender's Gigabit port to enjoy up to 10x the data transfer speeds of Fast Ethernet.

Can't comment on the MU-MIMO side of things as I don't have any hardware that uses that technology yet, but as it's going to get more and more common it will come into its own later.
Set up is a breeze and took just a few minutes to be connected and changing passwords etc.
I have between 25 and 30 things connected to my router and where my EA6500 got very warm this is not very warm at all and running well, lets see how it gets on over the next few weeks/months but so far so good.
I'm on the Virgin Media Vivid 200 package and am getting 205MB/s down and 12 up using the 5ghz wireless on my Chromebook HP 14, so no complaints about speed and the range is great too.
First thing to do after changing the passwords etc on set up is to update the firmware which is simple, luckily after the first download I clicked the update firmware button again and it gave me another update, so keep pressing that update button until it says there are no updates available.
It's only been a few hours but set up and operation has been very straight forward so if you're a bit concerned about that side of things don't worry, believe me I am no techie and if I can do it you can.
I will update this review after a few weeks or if I experience any problems, early days I know but so far so good.
***** Update *****
I've now been using this router for just over a month and can report that in my environment not only is it working well it's been faultless not one glitch, loss of signal or problem. Nothing.
All I have done is given it a reboot every couple of weeks, which I have always done with all my connected equipment as someone once told me that it is best to this so everything even my Sky box gets a reboot every now and again.
I noticed there was a firmware update a week or so ago and backed up my settings etc which is easy just a click of a button and then went for the update, again no problems everything came back and the router has been faultless.
So in summary.
I am using this router on Virgin Media vivid 200 service and getting speeds of 206 MB/s down and 12MB/s up consistently.
I have about 25 devices connected through the router including CCTV cameras, phones, central heating, Sonos speakers, Sky, TV's, Chromecasts and more.
I realise that results will vary from person to person but in my case this has been a great purchase and I am starting to take it for granted as the internet is always there.
I have recommended this router to a friend and he is also seeing the same excellent performance.
Now into September and no issues or problems to report.
Last weekend (Fri, Sat & Sun) I streamed via YouTube the Goodwood Revival in 1080P HD for between six and eight hours every day on to my 50" smart tv and didn't get a single drop out or any buffering at all, it just streamed faultlessly for three days.
So, so impressed with this router.
ONE MILLION STARS ************************************************************************ etc, etc.
Setting the router up was a piece of cake, however i did spend some time inspecting wireless channels being used around my area so i can pick the best one for signal. Once picking my channels i did some speed tests. Through my cable connection i get 212mb download speed, through wireless i get 200mb. So no difference really from using wireless in the house compared to wired.
I like the fact that there is an iOS app you can download to perform basic tasks on the router, this is great if you need to give it a quick reboot.
The unit itself is quite large! Check the measurement first if you are planning on putting this in a tight space, it is quite heavy as well.
I work with computers and network devices daily and for a home router I think this is a great choice. The wireless performance is great and it’s easy to setup.
I would like to see a few more technical features added such as VLAN tagging, they currently have VLAN's as an option however Linksys have told me VLAN tags they support are only for certain ISP's that require them, not for more advanced networking. It would be nice as well if they offered VPN.
If you struggle to get a good wireless connection, play around with the channels and you should be ok. Linksys support are great too.
Add more technical features to this router and it would be a 5 star product.
