The Author Linda Corby has been writing some really erotic, thriller, horror books and screenplays. On top of that she has written a true life series and her autobiography that are something else, she holds nothing back, is totally honest even to her own detriment, you will often find an emotional gut-wrenching eminence that comes from the soul within her books.
Linda is gregarious, a lot of what she writes includes her sarcastic tongue in cheek dry British humour, you will be amazed how what Linda writes can take you spiralling out of your comfort zone, she is known to be controversial, a humanitarian animal lover, ex Grade A show-jumper (under BSJA) whose life experiences and extensive travels adds an abundant un-put-downable quality within the pages of her books.
Linda loves helping other authors or would be authors, tells it as it really is in 'Zoom into Profit' her entrepreneurial book, like only a third generation entrepreneur could.
Linda says: I have been writing since I could hold a pencil, I remember my parents getting me a Petite children's typewriter when I was a six year old child (1959) of course I thought it was from Father Christmas as it was on my list that went up the chimney. I really loved this typewriter and wrote untold short stories on it, by the time I was twelve I had completed a series of children's stories, 'The Girl who Believed in Fairies' this was first published in the early1980's, it is now available on Amazon and Lulu with 50% of anything I make to the children's Hospice (Oakwell), very close to my heart because I lost my twelve year old daughter Natasha to Cancer there.
Years later when I got an original Sinclair, just like when I got the Petite I thought I was in seventh heaven. Then came the Amstrad and now I obviously use a desktop and Laptop computer, man/woman how writing aids have improved over the years.
The hardest book I have ever written was my Autobiography 'Bad Blood' because it was so personal and I was writing it at the request of my daughter Natasha before we lost her. Oddly enough the easiest book I have written to date was 'Feminist Revenge' and I produced a video to explain the motivation for writing the killings in it at readers request that you can view if you wish.
I love my readers; it makes my day when people buy one of my books. I read every review because I love the fact that anyone is nice enough to leave a review good or bad.
My favourite authors are Harry Patterson (alias Jack Higgins), I love his books and can tell you he is a lovely man as he was my ex next door neighbour and gave me a lot of good advice, very interesting intelligent man, his books are well worth reading! Then Steven King without any joint authors whose books I love and whose personal writing style and methods I find fascinating. Steven Hawkins is the author I really respect, he and his family have been through so much and I love his true grit attitude to life.
