As on other occasions, I can't say there was anything that I dis-liked.
It was of course different to the Radio production that I have on Audiobook (worth a listen at least); but that's how it works with subsequent versions of an original story - they are all just interpretations, or another person's view; fact or fiction..
But I found it instructive and 'engrossing - entertaining', and instructive of the lives of Lighthouse Keepers.
It is easy to see why Trinity House policy was changed to increasing the number [usually] from two to three Keepers after this incident. And especially at such a remote spot as The Smalls' 25 miles from the mainland.
I certainly recommend this and other versions to anyone, especially as they were clever in the location for production - Certainly not in the Irish Sea haha.
But the reading/hearing of such stories can lead on to other avenues.
The actual story itself; The history of Pharology, Lighthouse Keepers, their duties and methods on duty, and their lives off duty - often both lonely and remote prospects.
