- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 October 2012After 5 years of using one of the 'wonderful' alloy racing jacks to lift my Lotus it finally gave up on me. It had been nothing but trouble constantly falling apart and then the seals went.
I considered buying another but this cheaper jack from Liftmaster caught my eye. It does everything that the alloy jack did but doesn't look so pretty. It takes more pumps to lift the car compared to the alloy jack because the handle is shorter, but it doesn't need so much space to operate it. It doesn't have a rubber lift pad but that can be overcome with a piece of wood (or maybe I'll use the rubber one off the alloy jack before it goes to the dump). Also it is no heavier that the alloy jack.
A previous reviewer commented that this jack needed to be filled with oil before use. I agree that this is the case but any competent garage DIY mechanic will have the oil to hand and will manage to remove the screw and pour it in. No big deal then.
It's a good honest jack. I have been so impressed with it I have just ordered a second one so I can jack both sides of my car simultaneously.
If you want a jack to go under a low car then this is the jack you should consider. It was delivered in 4 days, does the job perfectly well and the chinglish instructions are fun!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 November 2013I run a very low slung TVR and this type of jack is an essential tool. The jack is JUST low enough to squeeze under the body and made easier if I park the car on a piece of 3 x 2 to gain a bit of initial height to slide the jack under. After that the jack performs reasonably well and will hold the weight of the car for a long time without losing height (stressing yes I use axle stands when underneath but with the jack in the up position it is a useful fallback device). The drawback of this jack is that the maximum lift is not that great and for any tasks where I need a reasonable working height under the car I have to use a second jack to take up where this one runs out of range. I therefore have mixed views on this Liftmaster however at this price it's really difficult to complain too much hence 3 stars.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 October 2013I already have a couple of trolley jacks, but needed a really low profile one for a 'new' car. This one fits the bill perfectly well and it worked fine. I like how the carry handle is placed so it is nicely balanced when lifting it around the garage etc. My only two niggles with it are that it doesn't have a padded/rubberised lifting pad - so I glued on a hockey puck as a cheap fix for that. The bigger niggle is that this jack doesn't have the hydraulic lock built into the handle so you have to disengage the handle to let the car down. More expensive jacks generally have a twist design the handle for this, but given the low price of this item and its purpose for occasional use it is acceptable. Finally I did have to top up the hydraulic oil before 1st use but that was no big deal.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 September 2024With my can being a low body model I need a Jack to be small enough for the Elise. This product is SPOT on for the job. 👍
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 March 2022This jack has had very little use but it stopped lifting. I topped up the oil level with the correct oil. Now it lifts slower & as soon as you stop lifting it lowers itself. Thus making it unsafe & of no use. I contacted the seller & they said I had to return the jack at my own expense & pay for any parts if it needed any. Baring in mind the jack is no more than a year old. I asked for a refund & they have ignored my request & I've heard nothing else from them. NO NOT BUY THIS JACK.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 March 2017So far so good! I've tried it on a few cars, the lowest so far was a TT which it cleared easily.
We got it primarily because we purchased some winter wheels/tyres for my wife's car and initially I used a scissor jack to change them. It took ages, and was quite hard work. This trolly jack has really transformed the process, it's so much quicker!
Had it for two winter seasons now and it's been fine. It raises quickly with little effort, and I've not had any dropping issues so far. Like all jacks of strong steel construction, it's relatively heavy but it does have a useful handle at a balance point so it's easy to pick up and move around. I had a puncture on my large saloon and it was just as effective on that as my wife's car.
As a hobby/enthusiast piece of kit it seems perfectly adequate.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 February 2018A great small 2 ton Jack that will easily fit into the boot of a car. In fact it was smaller than I was expecting. The small size does mean more pumps to lift the car (Roughly 30 up and down strokes) but even so this is much better than the screw jack that came with the car. The only other comment is that you will have to also purchase a rubber 'bung' that sits on the jack plate to engage effectively with your car jacking point. there are different types for different cars. Without it you risk damaging the underside of your car. Overall a good reasonably well made product for the money but because you have to buy the bung separately not perfect hence 4 stars.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 January 2016This was bought as a Christmas present for my husband and I am happy to say he is delighted with with it. We have not had to use it yet, but a test run proves it fits very nicely under his car when raised. I had been looking for one here in Sicily for 6 months without any success. Despite having to pay almost as much in carriage as the trolley cost it is well worth it. I would also like to add that it arrived bang on time which is very unusual for over here, Good service all round.

Guglielmo OrsiniReviewed in Italy on 16 September 20175.0 out of 5 stars Cric martinetto idraulico per auto Liftmaster Low Profile

Josef B.Reviewed in Germany on 12 October 20201.0 out of 5 stars Qualitätsproblem
