"I found "Unwritten" one of those strangely beautiful, exotically original novels whose substance dawns slowly to the reader's consciousness like a glorious sunrise. Please read this book! The writing, the ideas, the truths spoken here are all extremely beautiful and note worthy.
" A Life Intercepted', is so..ooo ..good! I was not ready for the story to end..... because I wanted to know more about the continuing life of these two memorable characters and their devoted friends .. Friends who gave up success, many years of love and popularity because a hurt, rejected girl could not have what she coveted. There are many life lessons in this book on the gift of forgiveness and repentance. A stellar example of how to reinvent a God given talent by teaching another person what you have been given.
Charles Martin has been given a remarkable gift to tell a story and to tell it well. My tip before you start reading this book is to find a day that does not contain any plans so you will be able to keep reading. I could not leave this book with our finishing it!
Thank you Charles for sharing your amazing story telling ability! It certainly is a gift from God to all of your fans who were fortunate enough to find your books years ago. For those new readers and future fans ... who will discover you today and in the future, all I can say is read all of Charles Martins books, then spread the word by sharing his books with others! Yes! I recommend that readers read and share the amazing Charles Martin's Book "A life Intercepted ", He is an Author and Story Teller of great talent. God given and blessed talent. I do not want to tell you this story, Charles does that job! Read it for yourself!
One characteristic of Charles Martin's writing is having a man and woman deeply in love with each other, to the point they are willing to sacrifice anything for the other person. Matthew Rising, the star whose life is intercepted, is deeply committed to his wife and understands he must prove to her that she means more to him than a football comeback. His wife, Audrey, is devastated when Matthew is accused and convicted of rape, mainly on the basis of video evidence. She retreats to a convent where she discovers a boy who is every bit as talented as her husband, and grooms him to play football by watching and analyzing all of her husband's old game videos.
The message I took away was from understanding the trust between the quarterback and his team, that when the game is at its most critical, the huddle communication is not so much verbal and visual. The quarterback needs to look in the eyes of his players and see that they believe he can deliver the game. And those teammates need to see that same belief in the eyes of their quarterback. This is what Matthew Rising needed to communicate to Audrey, and the belief she needed to see in her husband's eyes. This is what committed marriage is all about. And this is one reason I love Charles Martin's writing.
