A dangerously addictive, sexy novel about how the last person you should get involved with... is the first person you fall for--This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
About the Author
Rachel Gibson began her fiction career at age sixteen, when she ran her car into the side of a hill, retrieved the bumper, and drove to a parking lot, where she strategically scattered the car's broken glass all about. She told her parents she'd been the victim of a hit-and-run and they believed her. She's been making up stories ever since, although she gets paid better for them nowadays.

Lucy Rothschild is a mystery writer and her latest effort has her exploring the world of internet dating. She’s created a pretty intriguing storyline. She just has one more date too keep and she will be done. But this date is not like the others. He’s handsome, and seems sincere. But more importantly, she is attracted to him. So when he contacts her again, she wants to say no but instead says yes. What she doesn’t know is life is imitating her art…men are starting to turn up dead and several of them…Lucy has dated.
Quinn is an undercover detective working on a new serial murder case. They are trying to catch “Breathless” before she has a chance to kill again. His dating leads to Lucy Rothschild. He thinks she’s a murder but at the same time he can’t stay away from the sexy author. But, when Breathless kills once again…and Quinn and Lucy are together at the time, Quinn is going to have to come clean about his lies…will he be able to keep Lucy and will she forgive him before she becomes the next victim of Breathless?
Quinn and Lucy are wonderful characters. They’re romance is both sensual and sweet. The secondary characters that populate the pages are endearing additions. The suspense storyline was a fresh and demonstrates Ms. Gibson’s range as a writer. Ms. Gibson has penned a good story that will appeal to her loyal fans as well as new readers.
If you love Rachel Gibsons other books you will most definately LOVE this book. Definately reccommend buying this.
Sex Lies and online dating introduces the reader to Lucy Rothschild. and Quinn McIntyre. Quinn is an undercover cop searching for a female serial killer the police has named `Breathless'. Quinn has to pose as an online dater in an attempt to lure out the serial killer.
Lucy is a mystery writer researching the storyline for her next book exploring the world of online dating. Lucy only has one more date to complete her research... What Lucy doesn't realise is that she is under surveillance by the police, as a suspect and unaware that the plot for her new book is being recreated and tested by Breathless.
Lucy is a loveable, strong character who she believes is able to stand on her own two feet, until fear makes her doubt herself. Lucy is a great character, who by finishing the book I felt as if I knew her. Quinn however, how to describe him... well written definitely! Strong willed, hunk of a man... who has a softer side making me want to believe he could be real.
As the plot and Lucy and Quinn become more entangled I could not put this book down! It is an easy read leaving the reader wanting more!
I was not a big `Chick Lit' reader before now, so the thriller and romance storyline appealed to me and encouraged me to buy it... No regrets from me at all! I have since bought many of the Little Black Dress books, thanks to Rachel Gibson's Novels.
I highly recommend reading this book a read, I only lent the book to my sister on the promise I would get it back! Fantastic storyline without the cringe-worthy moment so many writers feel they must include. I would also recommend reading the other two books after it as you get tip bits of how things are going with the couple(s) from the books before. The other books I would recommend reading after this one, in order are - `I'm in no mood for love' and `Tangled up in you'.
Its an excellent read, one that you just want to read the next page and the next and the next to see what happens. Highly recommended.
Following the disappointing Daisys Back In Town, I almost didn't buy her last book - The Truth About Valenties Day - luckily that one showed promise and finally with this book it looks like RG has gotten back to her best.
A nice romance/murder story without any cliches or cringeworth moments. Good characters & plot - this reminded me of Linda Howards' Mr Perfect.
