They look pretty. Everything else about them is a disaster, avoid at all costs.
1. They are very hard to wear. Instead of covering your ear, they squeeze it. You have to position them PRECISELY every time you put them on - to within 2mm of the "correct" position. Any other position and the sound-canclleing fails entirely, and the sound quality goes through the floor. Some people complained of pain from wearing them, headaches from being squeezed. I was fine, but I can see how you'd get headaches from this bad design.
2. They frequently fall off your head. The official manual suggests that the design them to be "painfully" tight and says you should "stretch them over a book every night", but if you stretch too much they will never work again, they say (in the manual!) "go slowly, you can always add another book tomorrow :)". This is absurd.
3. The noise-cancelling is poor. A few frequencies are cancelled very well, but most are passed-through with no change. There is a special "talk to people" mode which is mostly useless - most of my colleagues voices are passed through the noise cancelling anyway, and I can hear every word they say. Only a few people, with exceptionally high pitched voices, get quiet. The gimmick for turning on the "talk to people mode" is fun (you hold your hands over your ears like your'e trying to ignore the person, and that makes it magnify their voice). But there is almost no situation where you will want or need this.
4. You can't touch them with your fingers or you will activate the various modes and switches. Instead of buttons, the entire surface is sensitive (like a phone touch screen). Even leaning your head on something will activate various features. There is no way to turn this off. There are also two buttons, so its' not clear why they have both - either go with one or the other.
