Do not use on top of liming wax!!
on 27 February 2014
After sanding my oak kitchen units back to bare wood, I used Liberon Liming Wax and was delighted with the result. On the side of the liming wax tin it recommends that a coat or two of Liberon Finishing Oil are applied on top to make the wood water resistant.
You can imagine my horror (after all those hours of hard work) when the finishing oil acted like a solvent and all the wax just melted!! Instead of the lovely natural finish it looked terrible - like it had white paint steaks on it. I had to sand the whole lot AGAIN.
