We are living in a day and age, where the living room PC doesnt need to sound like a jet plane. Even low audible fan "hum" is annoying to my ears. So I searched for a low key fan controller to deal with this problem, and I found a half price bargain from Amazon warehouse. The Lian Li PT- FN03B fit the bill. Great construction, no flashly lights, simple to install, reliable, 12v 2.8A, and able to control 4 fans. I connected up my three Corsair SP120 (3 pin) fans to the controller, and powered it by connecting the molex cable to my PSU. I lowered the dial to the minimum, and voila!
(more or less) a silent living room.....Love it. If I need to game, I'll just crank it back up.
