Liam Leddy Born in 1949 in Glasgow Scotland UK.
A pupil of St.Mungo`s Academy Glasgow , English was the only subject I excelled in.An avid reader I always wanted to be an author. Foolishly I tried many different careers until I eventually settled down and.. No I became a successful metal salesman. It provided a good living for myself and my family until in 2002 I returned to my first love. Unfortunately she`d forgotten all about me too! No I returned to writing. I love it and I hope it shows in every book I`ve written to date. 2 60`s era crime fiction novels Body Language and Bad Form and a third on the way. My 7 short story collections to date accompany my novels. I have always loved reading and now writing short stories. Once I complete my 3rd novel I will write another short story collection.
The thing about me is I cannot keep up with the speed of modern technology. Too old just now and getting older as I write this. I forget to update things often this bio being one of them.
I recently uploaded on Amazon a new professionally proofread version of Body Language. Next will be Bad Form for the same treatment. One has to be professional, if absent minded.
Now to something I don`t forget. Far be it from to judge the mood and preference of the reading public but I have never understood the virtual -not talking X-BOX here .Can`t work that either- demise of the short story form. Personally speaking they are without doubt my favourite reading material. To retire at night with one or more short story collections or anthologies is my idea of bliss. That is why writing them comes a near second to reading them. A good short story is a perfect little gem . A really good one will remain in your subconscious somewhere for the rest of your life. Try some of mine and let me know what you think.
I am now regularly getting 5 star Amazon reviews for at least 2 of my books Body Language and Scottish Tales. Both the Mitchell Library and South Lanarkshire Libraries are now regularly buying all my print books- Createspace of course- in bulk. And when I say all I really do mean all. And in bulk. Must be doing something right. Read my 5 star Amazon reviews notably those from Elspeth and Cheryl. When readers really "get" your writing style and then are good enough to say so it is truly edifying
