Nice design, solid, good quality. The screw on connector is a little fiddly but makes a perfect seal and in any case mine came with a quick release type connector which can be used instead.

Haven't used it yet as this was bought as a Xmas present for a family member.

Late delivery from Bikester

Unfortunately I bought it from the picture which looked like a metallic aluminium finish in the photograph - misleading I feel,as this pump is in fact white painted metal ( this is stated in the description - my mistake )

However it looks cheap at a not cheap price !!!!!.

Wouldn't buy the white or black painted models for the reason above.

Think you can get the white and black painted versions cheaper from other suppliers - so look round.

3.0 out of 5 stars It works, but it isn't worth the price 4 July 2013

I purchased this because I have two other bicycle pumps that are frustrating when attempting to fill Presta valves. I read reviews on numerous pumps and based on recommendations thought I would give this pump a try.

This pump is very nice looking and appears to be well constructed, but it certainly isn't perfect and I'm not sure its worth the price it is selling for.

On mine, if the pump handle is pulled too high up the piston hangs in the cylinder and some manipulation has to be done to get the pump to push down.

The thread-on chuck works well once you get it attached, but getting it on the valve can at times become extremely frustrating. It also comes with a plastic chuck that slips over the valve, but it is of poor quality and broke the first time I used it.

The pump will fill the tires up to at least 100 p.s.i., but it seems to have some difficulty in doing so. One of my cheaper pumps gets there easier.

The gauge is easy to read and the hose is nice and long.

The pump works. Its not worth the price. I probably would not recommend this pump.

2.0 out of 5 stars New Old School Quality NOT! And Zero Customer Service 8 Jan. 2013
By Lady Carpenter - Published on Amazon.com

I just got this, so longevity isn't a factor, but I can't imagine this breaking any time soon. Everything about it speaks quality. Almost effortless. I was like a kid with it, it was sooo much better than my old piece of junk. I pumped up everything I could find, and then went around asking random people in the neighborhood if they needed any air in their tires. That's a little over the top, I suppose, but who cares. You will love this pump. Especially if you're old enough or sensible enough to appreciate really well made things.

Well a year & a half later & this is total garbage. Maybe some people think that's long enough for a $60.00 pump, but I don't - especially since it was seldom used. Bike a Mile doesn't want to hear it - it's way past their 30 days. Amazon doesn't want to hear it, even with their great extended guarantee (expired April 2013). This is just a very problematic pump. It won't engage to force air in, as if there are no longer
any seals in it. The best part is you can't even take it apart to service it or find seals or a tool to do that with. It's a lovely looking total piece of junk. The customer service for the vendor and Amazon is appalling. I now see that many others have this same problem with Lezyne pumps, so buyer beware. They had a 2 year guarantee - I thought - but try finding someone to honor it. They all wash their hands. This pump was touted as if it would be the last one you'd ever need. Yeah, if you're dying of cancer!! Save yourself the trouble & get a cheap pump from Walmart.

Update: I found guy at a local bike shop who took my pump apart and replaced the rubber o ring. He knew what he was doing and said it was no big deal. To him maybe, but I don't even own the special tool necessary to access the inner workings. I can use my pump again, but this is a common failing of these pumps. I have to raise it from 1 star to 2, because now at least I can use it again. The fact that I'll have to take it into a bike shop for an overhaul for as long as I have it does not endear it to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice pump indeed 10 Nov. 2012

Spent a good chunk of time researching bicycle pumps. Realized that Lezyne pumps are a bit higher priced, but now that I have used it for several months I think it is well worth the money. Build quality is solid. Nice use of materials. The way it connects to the valve is with a screw on, so it takes a little longer to put on, but then for sure you have a secure seal. You can use it for any type of valve (schrader, presta, and dunlop). Filling up a bicycle tire is so easy and quick. I also use it to top up my car tires. The pressure gauge seems pretty accurate as well. I double check it with a other pressure gauge.

Would definitely recommend the product. In the end the difference with another pump might be only 20 or 30 bucks. Over the many years of use you should be able to get out of this pump I would say that difference is negligible.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm in love with a bicycle pump 21 Feb. 2013
By Cathy W. - Published on Amazon.com

I never thought I'd say that I absolutely LOVE something as utilitarian as a bike pump, but then I bought the Lezyne Classic Floor Pump. My last pump, which wasn't cheap, finally broke. For the last several years I couldn't justify the expense to replace it. I'm so glad I read the reviews and spent the few extra bucks for the Lezyne. Now I know exactly how much air pressure is in my tires! I use presta valves on my road bike. Sounds silly, but the gauge on my old pump would jump up, slowly settle back towards zero, and I'd have to kind of guess when the pressure was in the right neighborhood. The Lezyne screws onto the valve (this wasn't really spelled out in the directions, but I figured it out easily enough), making a perfect seal. The first & subsequent pumps show a clear pressure reading that stays right where it should on the gauge. The air bleed button allows the pressure to be released from the hose before unscrewing to disengage, and there's no more worrying about bending or breaking presta valves when using a pump. What a terrific product! (My husband thought I was crazy when I had to show him the joys of this pump!) Seems very solidly built, so I expect it will last a long time. I'm sure it would be equally wonderful for shrader valves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Flawless performance 14 Jan. 2013

In my opinion there is no substitute for the Lezyne connector when you need to inflate your bicycle tires. I really don't like squirreling around with ordinary "press to fit" connectors. Maybe I'm uncoordinated, maybe I'm easily frustrated by minor mechanical nuisances....either way, I can forget my troubles with the Lezyne- I simply loosen the presta valve to a reasonable degree, thread the fitting on, and start pumping. Unless you significantly over-loosen the little presta valve knob, you are good to go with zero possibilty of leaks or malfunction. I've got two other versions of the Lezyne (the short travel type)...but this full "shop" size is by far my favorite due to it's abilty to inflate tires rapidly.
