The card reader itself is very good and quick. It feels well made and if it is anything to go by my last Pro Lexar card reader, it'll last too. I only trust Lexar for fast speed card readers. I don't have any Lexar cards, but use them with my high speed Sandisk cards and they work seamlessly.

Amazon Logistics on the other hand (delivered using the free delivery option) are a laughing stock and should have their delivery license revoked. simply the worst delivery company I have EVER dealt with, and that includes Yodel. Simply enough to put you off buying from Amazon.

D 800 with Lightroom 5. Use cf and sd cards and needed sd card reader. Bought a multicard from PC world as needed to import photos in a hurry PNY Multi Slot USB Hub and Memory Card Reader However, this died after a couple of uses so got refund. Choice was this or the multi reader Lexar Professional 500MB/s USB 3.0 Dual Slot Reader which meets my needs but decided to go for workflow as I can then get the hub if I needed it. it is fast and nicely made so I have high expectations that it will last and am just using it stand alone at the moment. However it has shown me that my original cf reader is slow so will now upgrade that. The hub is looking like it will be very useful.

Had a USB 3 card reader which I have placed somewhere safe but can't find so was using a USB 2 device. About 300 photos would take about 8 minutes to transfer to the PC but using this device it took about 2.5 minutes. The device feels a little plasticky but has a non-slip base and a reasonably long lead. Just plugged it into a USB port and it worked as you would expect. So far it is pretty good and does the job. More expensive than some devices but easy to use as you don't have to have it plugged directly into a USB port.

Very fast at copying. Can also be used as a standalone reader without the Lexar Professional Workflow HR1 Hub with supplied USB 3 cable.

The Lexar Professional USB3 SD Card reader will do nothing more than save you time. Compared to importing photos from the card reader built into my laptop the import times are consistently reduced to about a third.

Lexar designed it to work with their card reader dock; but works fine as a stand alone SD Card reader;all my current cameras use SD cards but you can get it with Compact flash or XWD if that is what you need. Lexar have included a USB3 cable to get you going. It isn't the smallest reader so performance comes at the cost of a small amount of convenience but comfortably fits into a pocket on my camera bag so i can take it around with me and quickly import my photos into lightroom.

Its read every card I have plugged into it without issue; its much quicker than a USB2 or my built in card reader and saves precious time each time I use it which makes it easily worth the asking price.

After automatically installing the drivers for the card reader on Windows 7, my USB Wi-Fi dongle has become no functioning even when re-installing the Wi-Fi dongle drivers. The dongle works on my other PCs so it isn't the dongle.

Very neat solution. I like the 'plug and play' feel to this and the fact that I can take just what I need with me while having the full set back at home
