This book is an emotional read, I ran the gauntlet of emotions laughter, devastation, joy and despair. I don't want to ruin your reading enjoyment by putting spoilers but while reading Danielle, Nate, and Tanner’s story you couldn't help but get swept away into their world. What is the right thing to do when the worst case scenario happens? How long is long enough to wait and can you ever truly move on from your first love, or are you just finding a stop gap for a broken heart? Are all topics covered in this book.
Once I started reading Letters Home I didn’t stop. The actual 'letters' were beautiful and so personal and how I'd think a genuine letter would be back to a loved one. A definite case of reading through tears in those moments.
This is great read for military romance lovers and the brave souls who are not scared of an ugly cry whilst reading. I hope that another book is written for what happens in the future for Danielle as her new beginnings have just started.

This is one of those books that gives you a warm glow in the beginning, then has you in pieces rocking in the corner and then towards the end your reading with tears dripping off your chin with a smile on your face because thank god there is a happy ending after all.
I love how Nate thought of Danielle's future even when he knew he might not be there to share it with her, how he planned everything out to make sure she was taken care of and by who and that she would continue to live her life not give up on it.
Tanner was such a wonderful caring character he really made this book flow for me.
I found this book to really hit home because it was so true to life, ive heard about soldiers leaving letters for loved one after they have gone, so it gave this book so much more meaning i think, for me anyway.
Letters Home shows us life doesnt always go as you had it all planed, the high school sweetheart, get married and live happily ever after, some times its hard, painful and you want to give up, but its life and you only get one so you better take whats thrown at you, live it, love it to the fullest every day.
Nate was a military man and Danielle a lawyer, high school sweethearts they're in a fairytale kind of love! The kind where you think you'll never love again. Tanner was a medic in Nate's unit, he and Danielle become friends and grow close in their grief. They find solace and companionship in each other. Tanner is lovely and sweet and kind and makes Danielle happy when she never thought she would be again, he makes getting through the day a little easier. I love how she wrote this story and somehow through all the heartache managed to find love and a smile again.
Very well done Rebecca, I can't wait to read more from you!
