It's not enough that he writes "The Definitive Guide to Self Publishing," giving away oodles of hard-won experience in a series of easy-to-follow tips, but he really is the gift that keeps giving with regular email updates with the very latest tips and tricks to avoid falling down promotional black holes and wasting dirty great wedges of time, money and effort.
You rock Mr Gaughran, even if I don't have a hope in heck of pronouncing your surname.
It is informative in a concise manner and tidies up all the pertinent information you require in one neat package. I particularly found the historical info about digital print and vanity publishers interesting and frankly downright distasteful with the practises going on.
Time will tell whether it has been any use, but the usefulness of the tips cannot be understated and when it is time minimise the stress and panic.
I did find the last section with all the success stories went on far far too long. Damn nice to see people doing well, but it could be briefer, or used for other matters.
