For the price this is an excellent quality marker pad and it can hold its own against some higher priced paper.
My only reason for marking it down is that the paper does tend to come away from the spine easier than I would like. That's not to say the pages just fall out but that if you aren't too careful when turning the page it may come loose.
A few downsides: the paper is pretty thin so you have to be careful with it so as not to get it all crumpley. This also makes it a bit fiddly to work with full sheets of paper if you don't have a board or artist's desk or some way of keeping the paper stretched and still (which you then have to unfix in order to ink the other side of the paper to get the colour to show through if that's what you're going for). Also it's not immediately visible which side is absorbent and which side is coated (I have to do a little ink test in a corner every time).
I keep promising myself that as I am now paying for this myself, I must make do with less classy paper - but art requires confidence and confidence costs!
my only down is that the pad was detached from the paper, upon opening the foil it just slipped out of the actual pad, so now its a nuisance to hold it up. i doubt this will happen to anybody else its just your luck. The paper is thin, and feels like regular A4 printer paper, but when you finally start coloring on it you see its value. i do advise common sense when using and putting a sheet underneath, this is just for security, chances are it will not bleed, but be on the safe side
i am an aspiring manga artist and the thin sheets are great for coloring finished manga pages separately, i will defiantly be buying the a3 version of this product when i finish this pad :D this is an illustration i drew on it, to show you how good the paper quality is
