Good battery, but arrived USED

The battery works great and hopefully will last longer than the one that came with the laptop which only lasted 1.5 years with minimal use. BUT, one thing I wanted to let people know about is that the battery I ordered arrived used. After installing the battery and going to the Lenovo Power Manager program, it listed that the battery had already gone through 8 charge/recharge cycles and was first installed in a laptop 5 months before I purchased it. Not sure if it was a returned item that was resold as new, or if it was a refurbished battery, but it was certainly not new. I decided to keep it instead of dealing with the hassle of returning it and getting a new one that may have the same problem but if you purchase this battery, I would highly recommend you run the computer's Power Manager program right away to check yours out. In the future, I'll probably just buy the battery direct from Lenovo to ensure it's genuine and new.

the battery was correct but as someone else said it arrived with already 8 charge cycles used, however the capacity was about the same as the design capacity a little lower so its not of much consequence, additionally I believe rather them them selling you a used/refurbished one with only 8 cycles which would be awfully little amount, it is likely a result of them testing all the batteries to make sure they actually work I'd imagine, especially if everyone has exactly 8 cycles. I'll update later to let people know if the battery is holding up after multiple uses, but I imagine it will. Also for those who think this might not be exactly the same product as a lenovo 55++ battery it appears in exactly in the same shape and labeling on it as my previous one from Lenovo, besides a added sticker on the side which appears to be a inspected sticker.

Not what I expected and barely an improvement from my current almost-dead battery.

The battery is listed as 55++ and i instead received a 70++. I submitted a return request and was told that the 50++ is no longer in production and that the 70++ is the suggested replacement so i actually got what i ordered. Instead of claiming to be selling a 55++ battery they should say that it is no longer in production right on the item and say the recommended replacement is a 70++. I would be okay the 70++ battery except the one i received barely has a longer battery life than the 55++ battery that i have that is almost dead. So i basically paid 80 dollars for about an hour and a half of battery life instead of the 3-4 hours of battery life i got from my brand new 55++ battery. Basically annoyed by the incorrect product description and the low quality of the received battery.

I received this battery just as described and it seemed to perform well. But when I let battery begin to fully discharge, I realized that one of the cells was blown out, as the charge would drop from 40% to 2% instantaneously. What this equates to is a battery that only functions between 100% and 40% charge. Is this a problem for me? Well, yes of course, however, that range provides me 2-2.5hrs of operation which is enough that I haven't returned it or asked for a refund. But buyer beware...
