This oil is extracted from the kernels of an Argan tree, a cousin of the Olive tree which is mainly found in Morocco and in some parts of Mexico. It has many uses including culinary uses i.e. cooking oil and dipping pastes, as well as cosmetic uses i.e. the treatment of skin and hair. Argan oil is usually sold without any additives because of its highly beneficial characteristics as a lone cosmetic ingredient. It is often said that Argan oil has been around for centuries, often used medically to treat illnesses. However, through modern day laboratory tests it has been confirmed to possess large amounts of Vitamin E, Oleic Acid and Linolenic Acid. Why choose our Argan Oil? Argan Oil from L'enigme D'argan is becoming extremely popular due to its high quality. Our Argan oil is cold pressed and 100% organic and all of our suppliers are Ecocert certified. Our oil is perfect for application on the face, hair, nails and the body. The positive difference to your skin can be noticed within a few days of applying Argan Oil.
Apply a few drops per area of the body. If using in the hair, use a few drops and blow dry.See all Product description

I use argan oil on my hair, and this argan oil is less viscous than ones I've used before, which makes it difficult to use - when you try and rub it over your hair it's already gone, there's no 'texture' to the oil. This meant that I couldn't do my usual squirting it onto my hands, emulsifying it, then rubbing it through my hair, as the oil completely absorbed into my hands the second it touched them (no, my hands aren't unusually dry!). I had to spray it on to the wet hair, then comb it through, which gave patchy results. It also means I can't use it on dry hair, as I've very curly hair and don't brush/comb it.
The pump dispenser bottle the oil comes in is terrible. It's very thin with weak edges, and the squirter nozzle is awful. You don't get a small diffuse spray, more a hard condensed rocket squirt. I decanted mine into a cheapo travel size dispenser bottle for a better spray.
As a small note, although this is styled as an organic French (I understand the company and product are both English) premium style product, the presentation isn't. It looks like a market stall cosmetic. Cheap bottle, poor dispensing, feint wonky stickers, dates and certifications missing. Granted you're buying the oil, not the presentation, but if you're buying this as a gift you'll look a cheapskate.
I used it on my hair which tends to get very dry & indeed it helped although it made my hair look like a grease factory! Thus I only recommend using it as an intensive conditioner type (perhaps a few hours before shampooing or overnight) & wash before going out, OR only use very little.
Which brings me to the next problem...it is extremely difficult to dispense it evenly. The nozzle does not give a spray effect but rather a squirt & thus you cannot use it to spray it evenly on the hair. I tried putting it in my hands & spreading on my hair & combingn through but it gives uneven results.
I also used it on my face & my skis reacts to harsh & harsh chemical products & I had no such problems with this product. It softened my skin nicely & I would recommend it for dry skin, especially that argan oil has a high level of Vitamin E.
As for the packaging, I can say that firstly there are no proper authenticity to the claims made & there is no expiry date details. However, I can see that it is good quality. I have tried a lot of products that claim a lot of things yet the contents are to the contrary.
The bottle is plasticy & cheapish which lets this fine product down. And as mentioned, the nozzle is just useless.
All in all, good value for money but star lost for packaging.
Not being one to be moved by fad products the fact that this Argan Oil works means that I was impressed, my partner for one is convinced enough to buy more. However, is the `L'enigme D'argan' range the one to go for? The pack I received stated that it was to be used within 24 months of a given date - no date was apparent. Plus there were no instructions at all for what Argan oil was, does, or could be used for. We had to go online and do some research first. This is fine for a computer literate family, but surely some packaging or instructions should be included?
Despite the bottle itself lacking a few key elements, it is the product inside that really counts in this case. The fact that my partner's hair genuinely felt softer and brighter, plus it helped her skin, I would recommend `L'enigme D'argan 100% Pure Organic Argan Oil' to someone looking for a new (rediscovered) beauty product to try out.
I had not heard of Argan oil but have long suffered from very dry skin and occasional mild eczema. Applying a small amount of this after bathing or showering has certainly helped the dryness. Sadly I was unable, to try it on my hair as that horse has long since left the stable, but my younger daughter swears by it! Apparently applying some after washing the hair has helped the straighteners and prevented dryness and splitting. And a little goes a very long way.
It loses one star for the quality of the bottle - or more accurately the nozzle on the bottle. Apparently you should spray it on skin or hair, but after a couple of pumps the spraying stopped and splatting would be a more accurate description of the action. This meant that it was difficult to apply evenly to hair or body, and you have to apply it to your hands first whereupon it is quickly absorbed.
I also found that the dog liked the taste of it too so I had to wear my long pyjamas after application to prevent him following me around the house licking my legs.
