If you are looking to purchase your first Leica or find out more about one you already own, then this is the book for you. Staring with a short history of the Leica camera, the book then goes on to describe in detail every Leica produced since the first in 1925. Each model is also illustrated in photographs to aid identification. The book also covers the various special editions that Leica have produced, to mark special occasions. In addition the range of lenses and accessories are also detailed. Finally, a complete listing of serial numbers of both cameras and lenses, enable the collector to date his collection.

It is a great pity that Gianni Rogliatti has passed from this mortal coil. Well written and fun to read. Not like a novel but a reference book!
