Had first heard of this band along time ago but was unfamiliar with this, their first album from 1976, until it was mentioned as one of the top 100 albums of the 70s in Classic Rock magazine. And what a great album it is, produced by Derek Lawrence of Deep Purple fame. Rocks from start to finish! Some of the lyrics are a bit OTT but that only adds to its charm. Recommended for any fan of 70s rock and metal, still sounds fresh 40 years on.

5.0 out of 5 stars No fillers 20 Aug. 2015

This and Moxy 1 have always been my to favorites of all time. Very Musical, and heavy enough most times.Joe Anthony and Lou Roney along with the Electric Lady Debbie Alcozer played theses on regular rotation for years. Not a filler on either.Just do it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Big Hair, Guilty Pleasure 19 Jun. 2000

If you get misty-eyed over that whole late 70's L.A. rock scene/wall o' Marshalls/pursed-lipped power chord slashing/Rick Wakeman wall o' synthesizers/strutting peacock stage moves/wall o' Plant-Coverdale-Dio castrato vocal pyrotechnics thing, then pure nirvana awaits you on this album. Long, long overdue for a CD reissue, you'll find nary a weak track on here, with tight musicianship, dynamic arrangements and good songwriting abounding. I'm deducting one star, not for the material itself, but for a possible remastering flaw--some of the vocals seem a bit buried in the mix. (That nitpick aside, the digital remix is sonically excellent.) Tops for its genre!

With all the 5 star reviews and being a BIG fan of 70's hard rock I thought I stumbled upon a real gem here as I have never heard of Legs Diamond before. Not Really.I actually read in an old Classic Rock Mag that these guys were Van Halen before Van Halen.Not.Anyways,I really wanted to love these guys from the get go and the first couple of songs were ok,but there were ALOT of repeating lines and words and to be honest the guitar playing wasnt that great.I will say that these guys were definitely ahead of their time. The songwriting and singing was definitely more of an 80's style and these guys probably influenced alot of up and comers especially in the L.A. area.I betcha VH,Quiet Riot and Angel had an eye and ear on these guys. Also, the production and engineering is friggin Phenomenal.Sound is just awesome. That alone is what made this 4 stars instead of just 3.Anyways,it was cool to listen too and I guess I even enjoyed it a little.I may even listen to it again sometime in the future! Then again......maybe I wont.Oh,I also read in a couple of the reviews that these guys sound like Deep Purple. There are some keyboards on here but they aint nothing like John Lord! Off the top of my head these guys sound alot like Montrose after Sammy Hagar, but without the kick-ass guitars! If anybody knows of any obscure 70's rock bands that are worth a listen please reply to this review and let me know as I am always interested in finding some lost classics!!!
