The main problem with this game is that it's REALLY repetitive- there are five levels, and most involve the same actions but in different (albeit impressive) settings. It's also quite a short game, so for experienced gamers it's probably not the best option. To get around the fact that it's so short, the creators have cheekily suggested doing the whole thing four(!) times as different species of owl.
Overall, I definitely enjoyed this game, especially the speed racing bits, as it almost makes it feel as though it's not the owl on the screen swooping around, but the player- it's just a shame there wasn't more game to do this in!
If you're after a little light relief from other games, definitely consider this. Avoid if you're wanting something more in-depth.

The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole Game is based off both the book series by Kathryn Lasky and the film of the same name. As I'm sure you know, this a combat aerial flight game where you take to the skies as a Guardian of Ga'Hoole.

Your Character:
In this game you play as the owl, Shard, who's often put down because his father famously betrayed the Great Tree. When you begin the game, you can decide what species Shard will be: Barn, Spotted, Grey Grey or Horned. Each owl has its own qualities. For instance, Spotted owls are fast, but weak, while barn owls have lots of health. There are four game slots, so you can have one for each species of owl. :)

Missions:
The game consists of 27 missions, two of which can't be replayed. These missions are spread out over five worlds: The Great Ga'Hoole Tree, the desert Kuneer, the forest kingdom of Tyto, the Glauxian brotherhood Retreat (books only) and the scrublands of the Beaks. There are five missions per world, apart from the Ga'Hoole Tree which only has three, including the two none-repayable ones. You can earn bronze, silver or gold medals depending on how you preformed in the missions. Most of them have you complete the mission in a certain time, but some ask you to be a guard. There are also Bonus Missions, unlocked after completing a world. Here you will find extra mini missions for you play. Earning gold in all of them earns you an extra life. The missions are great, but I feel restricted. There are only 25 missions for you to replay, and they all very similar. More missions = more fun.

Collectables:
After you complete all the missions in a world, you can fly around it freely in a Bonus Mission. Dotted around each world are scrolls. Find them, and you unlock concept art.

Bought for my 10yr old daughter for Xmas and she loves it. The flying feels quite real and she loves animals, so enjoys playing as an owl. I paid less than six quid, so feel its pretty good value, even if its quite short or repetitive.

This game is a great game for any lovers of the film or owls. The controls are great and you feel like you are really flying. The game is relitivly short however, but there are mini games you can play. Over all a good game and a good buy.

Bought the game to entertain 13year old grand daughter and it worked well. The graphics are good and the flying looks fun and was interesting to follow the story.Far better than all the other wii games I have bought for her.

This is really a bad game. Bad developed story, bad playability and poor graphics. Children don't like it and if they are 10/yo or more they will be angry with you.

A great fun game kept me occupied for hours. The fact that you fly the owl in the game makes it different and enjoyable for any age.
