At first I couldn't get into it as I was used the the songs sung in the original way, but once I'd listened to the cd a few times I fell in love with the remixes, heady and bassey, and a faster tempo..I really recommend even if you have the original version.

Bob Marley (1945-1981) the Third World's first major superstar. In 1984 Legend hit the charts and even now Legend still one of the best selling albums. I brought this album with an open mind after all Marley often updated his music for his 'live' shows. Iv played the album and listenf with mix feelings granted some tracks like 'Is This Love' and 'Stir It Up' are ok. But others are nothing but heavy drum beats the worst I think is 'One Love/People Get Ready' which sounds downbeat. 'Punky Reggae Party' which features Lee 'Scratch' Perry doing a strange rape and seems out of place I doubt many of Marley's hardcore fans will this album I can only say it's an ok album for me it all has an feel of a cash in I don't how Marley would rate this album but I can only rate three star to be fair it would have been better to leave the Legend album alone.

Just to set the scene and put things in perspective, i am a big buyer of music, never write reviews, but just had to here.Reason being, reviews were really split on this one which intrigued me somewhat as a big BM fan owning pretty much all his music.
What you have here is some really good remixes which is a bit refreshing if you have played the origenals as much as i have.None of the songs are overdone, all are recognisable albeit in a new form.
Have to say i was disappointed with the 'In Dub' 2012 offering but this one makes up for it.

I absolutely hate this album. It's not just that the remixes add no value whatsoever and in most cases destroy everything that was good about the originals, it's the fact that the production is appalling too and, like so many other albums these days, the producers appear to prize volume above all else. Terrible sound quality, truly atrocious.

In conclusion: Awful music, badly produced, don't waste your money. Love Bob, hate this!

This album is a complete waste of money. They have totally removed all message and meaning for bob marleys music, instead filling it with drivel beats! Spend your money on the real legend album!!
