Legally Charming has a delicious fairytale feel to the narrative from the beginning that is only enhanced as the story progresses.

Felicity is a shy, introvert and more than a little awkward unless she is discussing her one true passion, art. Highly career driven as a result of her poor upbringing, there are hints to a trauma in her past but this aspect of the plot is completely overshadowed by the romance within Legally Charming, it's as if nothing else exists but the developing relationship between Felicity and Jared.

Jared is also highly career driven, having poured his heart and soul into his career up to this point in his life. Little realising he has been channeling his energy into his career in order to escape his innate loneliness. Something he hadn't even realised about himself prior to his meeting Felicity.

There is no denying the attraction that simmers between Jared and Felicity, reaching a mutual understanding that their relationship is finite due to Felicity's career goals, they embark on a relationship. Neither of them expecting to fall as hard or as deep as they do, yet they are both determined to achieve their individual goals.

Additional drama takes the shape of Jared's boss, who also happens to be the father of his ex-girlfriend. Said boss is not above manipulation in order to have Jared exactly where he wants him, even if it is detrimental to his relationship.

As their feelings deepen Jared and Felicity have to acknowledge the effect their relationship has on their lives. With something so positive between the two of them it is hard to deny the new future they desire. I loved how fate stepped in to push them both to their happy ever after which Jared takes full control over and sweeps Felicity off her feet.

Legally Charming has a high swoon factor with very little angst to detract from the fairytale happily ever after ♥

Felicity Hart has one goal: Completing her masters in art. Falling in love isn’t part of the plan. She reluctantly agrees to attend a Halloween party at Tanner’s apartment her best friend Layla’s boyfriend. She’s not a party animal so sneaks away from the party and goes to sleep in Tanner’s brother Jared’s unoccupied room, Jared a lawyer isn’t expected back, however she wakes to the sexiest pair of eyes she’s ever seen. Eyes that belong to the one man who could turn her well organized world upside down. When he flashes that wicked, panty-melting smile at her the vow to not fall in love seems impossible
Jared Redmond used to be the ultimate bad boy. But he’s now thirty & his legal career is taking off and the partners of his firm are trusting him with high-dollar real estate transactions. Jared’s just closed a large deal & wants nothing more than to go home & sleep but when he arrives home on Halloween to find a princess sleeping in his bed, his all work and no play attitude goes out the window.
I love the author’s regency romances & loved this too, a well paced story that had me reading until the early hours.
Jared is definitely an alpha male who ‘could give Jamie Dornan a run for his money’ so quite attractive! He’s everything you could want in a hero, gorgeous, intelligent, hardworking, sensitive & caring WOW. Felicity had me wanting to shake her at times, she had low self esteem & was so naïve at times whilst at other times was fun & caring. The attraction between the pair sizzled & I’m not surprised steam was rising from the hot tub. A modern take on some fairy tales, the secondary characters were also well portrayed, I loved Layla & look forward to Thad & Angelos’ stories

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book

There were aspects of this story that I totally fell in love with but other bits…well not so much.
Studious Felicity isn’t exactly your typical party girl, in fact she isn’t your anything type, of party girl, happy with her nose in her books and up to her eyes in her studies, she is a rare visitor to any social scene but her friends are throwing a Halloween party and her attendance, well let’s just say she was going…no matter what she thought! Now this I got!
But deciding to let her hair down and dress herself up in as a princess (not sure about the choice of outfit for Halloween, but I let this slide), the story took on its own special shade of sleeping beauty/Cinderella because from then on I think it morphed into an almost modern mish mash of the two.
Tanner's brother Jared isn’t supposed to be coming home on the night of the party, so Tanner tells Felicity that she can spend the night and that she can stay in Jared’s room. One little problem with that is the fact that Jared does in fact turn up and the only thing he m=wants to do is get his head down and preferably not with someone sharing his bed, well at least not initially. But once he sees that he does in fact have company there was an obvious direction for the two of them but they certainly didn’t make the path one that was sprinkled with fairy dust, nope they were hard work!
Jared is a level above Felicity of so she thinks, she has worked her tail off to get everything she has in life but Jared is from money and as much as I could understand her concerns that didn’t mean I didn’t want to grab her by the scruff of the neck and give her a darn good shake.
