HASH(0x9bd34030) out of 5 stars Revenge is a dish better served cold! 15 Jan. 2011

Left for Undead" finds the mated pair (Sasha and Hunter) relaxing and recuperating from their last mission in a cabin in the woods of New Hampshire. But as usual, there is no rest for the weary, when a ally and a close relative (Shogun, Hunter's brother) requests their assistance with some sensitive situations. Shogun is worried that his pact won't accept his mate and Garth wants help convincing Sir Rodney that his exiled lover, Queen Cerridwen may not be what she appears. As the two struggle to prevent World War 3, they learn that there are sinister plans in play. Someone wants to start a war by opening vamp lairs using the Queens signature. As Sasha and Hunter follow the clues trying to get to the bottom of who is responsible for these deeds, they also have to navigate the politics between several supernatural creatures (the fae, the weres, the vamps, gargoyles, and Erinyes). There are behind the scenes deals, alliances between some very ruthless and evil supernatural beings, and some very long reaching consequences to actions taken in previous novels (Jung Suk's inhabiting of Amy's body) with unforeseen results. We only hope that the truth comes out before it is too late.

What I enjoyed about this novel was the tidy resolution that LA Banks gave for all of the characters. And while Hunter seems to be more possessive and protective of Sasha, he has finally come to terms about his mate's relationship with his brother. His brother (Shogun) has taken steps towards his future and finding happiness. Sasha has grown stronger and finally seems at peace with her decision about her life and mate. There is no long lasting tension between Shogun, Sasha and Hunter. Sasha's extended family and team are all safe and stronger than ever. All real issues are resolved and Banks even offers a glimpse into their futures . This was a wonderful conclusion to a brilliant series that will be missed but not forgotten. And I for one cannot wait to see what Banks has up her sleeves for the future.

I have never hidden my extreme love for Shifters, they are my favorite supernatural race followed by Vampires, taking a close second. The Crimson Moon series by L.A. Banks is all about the Shifter/Weres for me. Well, there are Vampires, Fae and a lot of other supernatural races, but for me is still all about the Shifters LOL.

Sasha Trudeau works for the government in a super secret team of Werewolves, working to eliminate terrorists. Well, they do have all the Werewolf ups, but they do not shift, because shifting means something went wrong. Means they have been taken by the rage and they need to be put down, so not shifting is good, right? When Sasha meets a man called Hunter claiming to be a Shadow Wolf, she realizes that the supernatural world is much more than she previously thought.

I LOVE L.A. Banks' Crimson Series! I confess that I was bit overwhelmed and confused by the world building in the beginning, but after you get a grip on all the supernatural people and the different types of wolves, you get a chance to enjoy an awesome Urban Fantasy series with non-stop action and a great romance at it's center.

There are the Shadow wolves {Native American origin} and there are the Werewolves {Asian origin}. The Shadow wolves are able to move through the shadows and Demon realms, but they need the protection of a special stone to keep from being attacked by Demon-infected wolves. Both Shadow Wolves and Werewolves can be infected and this one of the main problems that Sasha, Hunter and her team need to deal with. The mythology behind the shifter races is so unique in my opinion and one of my favorite things about this great series.

I love the cast of characters that make up this series. From Sasha's team, to Hunter's pack and including their allies the Fae, Crimson Moon is full of awesome characters that bring this amazing world L.A. Banks has created.

The Crimson Moon series is sure to please many Urban Fantasy fans out there and if you haven't read it yet, you totally should! I can't wait for the next installment in this brilliant series!

HASH(0x9ab4a63c) out of 5 stars excellent New England fantasy 3 Oct. 2010
By Harriet Klausner - Published on
Format: Mass Market Paperback
After the New Orleans incident (see Never Cry Werewolf), shadow wolf Sasha Trudeau and her lover Hunter, both belong to Paranormal Containment Unit but tired, they take a well deserved respite in New Hampshire. Their idyllic vacation ends when the advisor to Sir Rodney, King of the Seelie Courts, asks them to talk to him about allying himself with his ex-wife Queen Cerridwan of Hecate in matters of love and war. The vampire graves are being invaded with indications pointing to the Unseelie Queen who claims her innocence.

When Sasha and Hunter stop at the Seelie Court, a vampire attack kills six fae. This is the beginning of what appears to be a big war where innocent humans and other species will die. Evidence, at the last assault site, leads to denizens of the underworld placing the Fae and the Vampires against one another. Sasha, Hunter and their allies seek who made a pact with the demons and to find a means to break the unholy alliance by sending the devils back to hell before the deployment of the lethal master plan.

The sixth Crimson Moon Book novel is an excellent story in a great series. Hunter and Sasha no longer have doubts about each other, their relationship or children in spite of being on the front lines of a multi-world going insane as each expects the war of the species. There are several subplots that enhance the prime story line as the lead protagonists and other couplings struggle to balance their respective relationships with the growing hostilities. Supernatural horror and romance converge on a New England fantasy plane with surprising twists adding to the fun of an exciting tale.

I love L.A. Banks, no matter what she's written. But the Crimson Moon and the VHL series had me hooked from the first book. Kind of sad that this was the last book of the series but I'm sure she'll come out with something great sometime soon. You have to read this!

Banks does not dissapoint in her last installment of the Crimson Moon series. In more ways than one she manages to introduce new and exciting plot twists while resolving some longs standing character problems.
