5.0 out of 5 stars Hurd makes a complex subject easy to understand for teacher and student alike 23 Dec. 2014

Hurd makes a complex subject easy to understand for teacher and student alike. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to look beyond the standard building techniques and come to an understanding of why some acoustic guitar family of instruments have great tone and others do not. Its a fascinating book that is well written and understandable for the layman.

Very helpful manual. Obviously, a labor of love. Unfortunately priced higher than any similar book I have seen. The Friends of the Library in NM were easy to work with and got the book to me quickly. I would recommend them as a place from which to purchase other books.
