7 Seconds have always had the ability to make this kind of great LP. The fact they do it on their own terms is worth the wait. They need to be recognized as one of the true pioneers in US music.

5.0 out of 5 stars This album is worthy of your attention. 16 Aug. 2014
By Jeff B. - Published on Amazon.com

When old punk bands put out new albums (bad brains, agnostic front, etc), I usually end up picking them up, maybe listen to them once or twice and that's it. It's not that they're bad... well, they might be, I'm not really sure - I don't give them a chance. it's just that usually they don't grab me on the first listen or two so I move on. I figured this would be similar. Well, I'm writing this to tell you it's not. I really like this record and it's been on heavy rotation in my life. They definitely fall into the catchy as hell hardcore 7 seconds have been known for in the past. I'm even going to go back and give "Good to Go" and "The Music, The Message" another listen. I always like when reviewers name the best songs on an album so I can know what tracks to check out first, so here goes. I think the best songs are "I Have Faith in You" and "Heads are Bound to Roll" followed closely by "My Aim is You" and "Simple Or Absolute".
4.0 out of 5 stars Never missed a beat 25 Jun. 2014

This album is 7 seconds like "walk together rock together" not "Soul Force Revolution" although there is one song that's a little more poppy. If you were a fan back in the day you will like this. For clarification I liked both "walk together rock together" and "Soul Force Revolution" but they are 2 completely different sounds. My one complaint about the album is that they didn't throw 99 Red balloons on it which was a great cover. Since this recording was done in a studio instead of a basement like their previous stuff I'd like to hear a good recording of it. I guess I'll have to go see them live again.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff. 18 Jun. 2014

This is along the same lines as their last album. Still has catchy hooks and sing along choruses, but with a few slower tempos thrown in. If you were hoping for Walk Together, Rock Together, this ain't it. But if you like the more modern stuff, you'll like this as well. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of fast tunes here to keep it interesting. And you don't have to worry about it being a retread of Out The Shizzy. It's good, you'll like it.

Welcome back! Great record and I am happy to see them come back, with a really good record. You have to respect them for everything they have done and keep doing.
