This is Jazz and Mason's story, beginning right from where book 1 left off with Jazz announcing her pregnancy. When Jazz and Mason take the steps towards working together to provide a family life for the 3 of them, we get to read how friendship turns to more. The pair are tested when Jazz's past comes back to haunt the future they are trying to build.
A brilliant second book, great to catch up with all previously loved characters and more to come with book 3.
We'll done RD Cole..!!

he's always listened and only gave advice when I asked. He notices me. And not like a brother or family member would. Like I really matter. Why am I just now seeing how he's always made me feel significant.
Well now, that was unexpected. This author really has a way with digging out all our inner most fears, even ones we didn't realize we had, and putting them on paper with her stories. And though book one hit me in the gut just a little bit harder than this one, book two had me in a cold sweat of fear, some pretty heavy stuff in this series. But I think that's the beauty of R.D. Cole, each book has different aspects that will call to different people but affect us all just the same, she's just that good.
I hate being alone like this. I feel more alone right now than I can ever remember. My family is who I've always depended on to pick me up when I'm upset. Not this time, though. This time I have to depend on myself.
Learning to heal pick up right where Learning to Live leaves off. Jazz drops her bomb on the family at Thanksgiving dinner. I was shocked the first time I read that scene, the second? I was not prepared for everyone's reaction, especially Jax's. But when the reason for their reactions come to light... it broke my heart. I fell in love with Jazz in book one and her 'take no $**t' attitude, in book two I cried for her. You would never guess at how much pain and insecurity she hiding under the surface til you get in her head. This girl is truly amazing.
Geez, I can be a b**** sometimes. I'm glad the guys can't hear my thoughts.Read more ›
R.D. Cole is a truly amazing individual ,,, her work is AWESOME ,,, I loved her first book in this series so obviously I was keen to get my hands on this one too and ,,, OH ,,,, MY ,,,,, GOD ,,,, I frigging loved it!!!!!! There's no disappointment and you will find the right amount of angst and heart warming story lines to keep you going and wanting to turn the pages ,,, you'll be in conflict with wanting to get through this book and find out what's happening but at the same time you'll not want it to end
This book is Jazz and Masons story and man is it a good one !!!!!
We find out from the ending of LTL that she is pregnant ,,, this book continues from where the last finishes (the prologue gives us a little insight to a time just prior to the pregnancy announcement) ,,, jazz has had a medical condition that a pregnancy could cause problems for her health so her family don't react well to the news ,,,, however ,,,, Mason has always had feelings for Jazz since the moment he saw her photograph ,,, seeing the family ,,, well Jax ,,, react so badly he steps up and claims that he is the father of her child ,,, could this be his opportunity to finally get the girl of his dreams??? ,,,, will she finally see him??Read more ›

Easy quick read with fun characters. I like the two sided accounts of storytelling. It lacks sophistication, which is a minorPublished on 9 Mar. 2014 by Y Akboga
