The book follows paul as he spends time travelling through Asia, getting of the beaten track and seeing places such as Thailand, China and India to name a few. He mixes in with the locals and gets a taste of there way of life. Mixed in with stories of his travels are interesting facts and slices of history from these country's.
Any reader should give this a shot it's got it all from interesting stories and history to laugh out loud moment's as Paul Raftery venrures around Asia winging it as he goes. It's Michael Palin meets An idiot abroad.
A thoroughly enjoyable read that made me want to pack a backpack, with this book as a necessity, and jump on a plane headed for Asia.
All in all a good and fascinating read well worth a look.
