Yet another great book from the MrExcel library.
This is the third edition with even more (512) solutions compared with the 377 in the second edition and 277 in the first edition.
The second edition covers Excel 97 through to Excel 2007 but this latest version now only provides for Excel 2007 and Excel 2010.
It is quite a bulky book (not as bulky as the first edition) but has a lay-flat binder and larger than usual print that makes it easy to read when the book is placed on a table/desk.
Many of the tips/tricks will also be found as video podcasts on iTunes, YouTube and the MrExcel site - very useful should you feel any clarification is needed.
If you are new to Excel, or if you are an expert who would still like to learn a bit more, this is a very good book to have.

Lots of good tips on using Excel spreadsheets. The book has to be read from cover to cover as individual tips are not easy to find in the Kindle edition,

It's not what I expected, too advanced & too much. I don't think it was explained well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excel 2010 Learn Excel 17 Jan. 2012

This book was all it promised to be. I enjoyed the approach of presenting a problem and then displaying the resolution to the problem. This is how I use books on any of the Microsoft products, have a problem, find it, resolve it, and move on. The lay flat backing also is very nice as it lays on my desktop all day with no fear of breaking the spine of the book.
5.0 out of 5 stars If you want to be a Power Excel User, you need this book. 10 Mar. 2014

This book is a treasure trove of useful tips and tricks to get the most out of Excel. You may not want to read it cover to cover (I haven't), but if I had more time I would do just that.

You'll find this book an amazing resource for Excel 2010. It has a detailed index, but I suggest you browse the Table of Contents to find how to do many things in Excel 2010 that you didn't even know you could do. The explanations are clear and you don't have to flip all over the place to understand what to do. Bill Jelen rocks.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a must for regular excel users advanced and novice 31 Dec. 2014

From the newest user to advanced this book is a must. It is set up not so much as a tutorial as a specific problem solver so when you get stuck on a problem while actually using excel you can very easily look up the solution. E.G. how can you simplify the insertion of dollar signs into formulas to auto filter a pivot table to finding the second largest values.

For tutorial type books nothing beats beats Mike Smart's Smart Method between his two books and this book you can go from clueless to power user.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Excel Tips 11 Jun. 2013

Great tips, great explanations; find it a little difficult to find exactly what I'm looking for since it's content is arranged mostly by specific problems and couldn't always find what I was looking for in the index, but when I did find something, it was always valuable

5.0 out of 5 stars An undiscovered treasure! 3 Nov. 2012

I was forced from Excel 2003 right into 2010. Totally lost, I read through the table of contents and see the questions I have going on in my mind-just as everyone else. I thank the authors for taking their time and sharing their expertise to publish a wonderful book.
