Little monsters can immerse themselves in the learning fun with 24 game levels that can be played differently every time. Gameplay and activities teach problem solving, matching, and cause and effect, and are geared toward kids aged 4 to 7 years old. This game cartridge is compatible with LeapPad1, LeapPad2, LeapsterGS, and Leapster Explorer systems, plus it's also available as an app, downloadable from the LeapFrog App Centre.

Graduate with honours from MU

The LeapFrog Disney-Pixar Monsters University learning game is an imaginative world where kids can explore and learn using their natural curiosity, as well as navigate 'scary' new skills like logic and deductive reasoning as they follow the fun hijinks of popular monsters from the movie Monsters University. Problem-solving is a skill that is applied each and every day in all sorts of situations, from social problem-solving to solving mathematics and science problems in school.

Frighteningly fun activities

Kids will love to play two minigames: identify pairs of matching monsters memorabilia before time runs out, and use deductive reasoning skills to find the monster that holds the hidden key. As they play, kids can unlock valuable shortcuts, find Scare Cards, and collect dorm decor. Use your LeapPad learning tablet, LeapsterGS, or Leapster Explorer handheld gaming system to enjoy additional activities like Monster Maker, then put Monster Maker creations to the test and use your imaginary monster to sneak through the Child's Bedroom Simulator, raise the fear metre, and earn the loudest scream to win!

LeapFrog's innovative approach to learning

Children can progress through 24 game levels of gameplay in the Monsters University game. To build problem-solving skills, kids create strategies to guide characters though mind-bending mazes, avoiding enemies to reach a strategic destination and advancing from level to level. Problem-solving pathways are included in the game as the perfect basis for a game of tactics and discovery. Children love the feeling of sneaking around undetected, and when they play a full level and the judges never even spot them, they feel so sneaky!

I have bought several Leappad games and this one is really providing good entertainment value. Some games have been too easy but this one
is keeping my 5 year old engaged and he has not finished it yet after a couple of months.

Purchased for my 6 year old son for just under £5 from Amazon, which is a bargain when you consider leap frog normally charge between £15-£20 for the game in app form. My son loved the Monsters Inc films and was very excited to get this game. In the game you create your monster and work on your scare techniques and collect scare energy. The game encourages the user to create a different monster - and the user can even put their face on the monster! Most of the games are problem solving, obstacle avoiding, card matching etc. This also follows the story roughly of Monsters University in playing games similar to the scare games in the film. My son is really enjoying it and I feel for around £5 its an insanely good bargain. Perhaps is a bit on the young side for my 6 year old as its all logic and memory games, but it depends what your child is good at. Leap Frog do a good job keeping the education subtle!

I was initially a bit skeptical about this range of Leap Pad 2 games as I wondered whether it was a 'game game' or a 'learning game' but having seen my 5 year old play on this, I am more than convinced that it provides a great way for kids to learn science and problem solving skills. My son, as with many little ones;' loves technology and loves touch screen tablets so he instantly took to the leap pad 2 itself. Not this game has been superb at getting him focused on problem-solving topics which are ideal for his age. He gets engrossed in figuring out things and this has stimulated his thinking too. Whilst playing this he asked why it is the earth spins which, though simple, isn't easy to explain to a child.

Anyway, this is an excellent piece of software and definitely aids learning, which ticks all the boxes for me.

I love these games for the LeapFrog. My son amazes me on a daily basis with all that he can do. They are perfectly pitched for his age (5). I am so happy I bought the LeapPad and the games. Definitely recommend.

This was a present for my 4 and 3yr old nephews. It was well priced (better than anywhere else) and arrived quickly. Both nephews love it and it is a robust game with lots of playability to suit them for hours on end. Would recommend.

My daughter relatively likes it, but it is a little repetitive and a little difficult for 3 yr old I think. I play with her then she enjoy.
Available games- memory game ( matching cards), detetive game ( find the unique monster), platform game ( how to avoid scary monster to go through the maze and collecting all the coins and buntings. I myself quite like it but not probably various enough for my daughter and memory game could be a bit boring.

I brought this for my 6 year old son to keep him amused during a flight. He is getting a bit too old for his leap pad, but still loved it. It was set at it's hardest setting, but he still completed it before we had landed. On the up side, the way the game is designed it still kept him amused for the rest of the holiday.
