Not just for women, and not just for graduates

Sheryl talks a lot of sense in this book, but it's not just for women - it's for men as well. There must be a whole lot of young men who have exactly the same issues as women that stop them from reaching their potential in the corporate world. As a middle aged woman, I found this book full of helpful advice and suggestions, and have passed it on to my children and their partners so that they can benefit too.

It's predictably somewhat focussed on the American way of doing business, and big American corporations, but an awful lot is relevant to this side of the pond as well.

I found the final chapters less relevant and helpful - these are the experiences of others (i.e. not Sheryl Sandberg) but well worth buying yourself a copy.

My Experience and reason for pourchasse

I purchased this book as I asked myself a lot of question graduating in a while and deciding on what could be the next steps. Lean In for graduates is meant for anyone boy or girl asking herself or himslef question about how to be succesful, how to raise your voice and above how to fight for equal rights for men and woman reading the story of one of the most succesful woman in the Nasdaq nowadays.

Great book, great experience and well written !

A really interesting read for working women and this version is perfect for those of us who are just starting out. I had expected that the additional chapters would be written by Sheryl but each one is written by an individual who has played a part or been personally inspired by the main version of the book. Nonetheless, it covers some really useful topics such as how to negotiate your salary and other useful skills. I've read it twice but it's something that I know I'll keep going back to as my career and personal circumstances change as I get older.

Good advise and very interesting facts however I think the subject matter becomes increasing repetitive and less appealing . I am a huge fan of Sheryl and was a little disappointed .. Maybe I was looking for too much ? I have always worked in a mans world in my work experience so I can indentify most of the issues and problems associated with them in this book.. So I was expecting more suggestions for solutions to these issues . I still remain a fan and will still continue to follow Sheryl success .

Helps to gain some confidence and motivation. Interesting to learn about Sandbergs experiences, but naturally not all of her advice is applicable to other, more normal jobs (i.e. not leader of a huge company).
