Well, well, well. Turns out, this book had an editor. *snorts in derision* What an awesome editor he was, too! (Not.)

The amount of comma splices I read through literally hurts my heart. The random use of the serial comma really annoyed me, too. In fact, I'm still annoyed. It's clear that Jane isn't aware how to use it, since she only uses it sometimes, and the rest of the times I'm stuck wondering why she hasn't used it. The lengths of her sentences are usually long, so the serial comma is not a choice for her—it's a must. There were also quite a few other errors in this book (in the previous ones, just as well): mostly a few missing or redundant (extra) words. Oh! There was also the case wherein Arnold became Albert. That was hilariously awful.

Nevertheless, I do recommend this book. It's good. Very good. Even through the thousands of comma splices Jane writes (meaning, not just in this book), her writing is still beautiful. It could be way better without them, though—the comma splices, that is.

In this book, Seraph's relationship with all the guys really develops. More so than in the second book. Seraph also discovers who the messenger. Finally! Honestly, it was pretty obvious to me who he was from the first book, so I'm super glad that she finally realised who the dead man was ... well, is. He's not a dead man yet—pun totally intended.

All in all, Jane is a very talented writer, and I'll obviously read A Portrait of Pain. I'm really hoping she gets a better editor, though, because it really seems that she was swindled by a poser.

I was reading all those two books in a matter of days as I was so enthralled! Third one didn't disappoint either. It's full of action and emotions showing us how the main characters progress and interact with each other in difficult circumstances. It's forcing them to make all hard decisions and resolving some of the problems and mysteries. I couldn't stop reading and now I can't wait for forth one!

Enjoyed the 3rd in the series as much as the first two. Glad to see a bit more relationship growth between S and her pairs, but it's still a little too slow in that respect. Finally find out who the stalker is and some of the bad guys end up dead. All in all, I'm already impatient for the next one.

This is a hard review to write for me as i would have given it 5 stars just for the writing which was excellent very fast paced. However im not a real fan of love triangles or in this case quadruples when all the guys are really likable in their own way, so for me i found the heroin too young (17) to be in such a predicament
i too found the plot to be a bit weak when it came to the bad guys, personally i would have loved to have Seraph put in more life threatening situations where she uses her magic more rather than using it just for more sexual situations with the guys who are all struggling for her affection anyway due to the bond (which is mentioned so many times i found myself rolling my eyes) my favourite parts through out all the books are with Seraph and Silas this chemistry felt right but the age gap of 9 years did notso i felt a little uncomfortable which was pointed out by Hunter.

im not too sure why jane washington didnt finish the series with just three books as i felt that this last book also answered everything so now there is no more mystery to add even though she has left the ending slightly unfinsihed.
will i be waiting for months for the 4th book im not so sure.

I have been waiting for months to get my hands on this book - every single nail-biting month people - as I just adore Jane's worlds. However, once I got my hands on it I was really nervous about starting it considering how Watercolour Smile ended and how my emotions were still tied up in knots and so I began reading with a little bit of trepidation as to how my turbulent thoughts and broken heart would handle any other surprises Jane would throw my way (because let's face it, it's Jane).

There are no adequate words to describe Jane Washington's books but I will certainly give it a go. Once again Jane has proven why she is one of my favourite authors as not only is her writing style fluent, flowing and funny but her descriptions have an elegance and beauty that leave amazing visuals inside your head.

In this book Seraph comes into her own, in my opinion, and Jane subtly weaves old plot lines with new ones while introducing new characters who will, no doubt, have an impact on events in future books. The book is rife with humour, which always helps alleviate those gut-wrenching moments that tear at your emotions and leave you a blubbering mess in the corner of the room.

I don't want to talk too much about events in the book other than you see more of Weston and Jayden and find out more about the Messenger and the Klovoda. Seraph's relationships with her men continue to evolve as you would expect and the ending to this book... Well, it's just perfect and I am now bouncing up and down in excitement in my chair just thinking about it. I think my nails will now go through another round of biting until Jane releases her next book because she is just that good.
