The “lazy” of the title is an engaging ‘hook’ but something of a misnomer, as Zelinski is by no means suggesting that success can be achieved without hard work. Rather, the thread running through the book is that one can accomplish more by doing less, or working smarter.
The book is written in parallel, with left hand pages of short, pithy sentences for the truly lazy, while right hand pages treat similar themes at greater length. This device works well, enabling readers to pick and choose, dwelling on the parts that pique their interest.
My personal view is that this book will be most useful to younger readers, at the start of their career, though older dogs keen to master new tricks will also find some reward.
Reading Ernies book really helped me. It cheered me to find someone who had also lost their job and had managed to survive the experience. Like Ernie, I realised that this was a blessing in disguise. The book encourages you to find work that you enjoy. You will learn that you can do this and probably work much fewer hours. Ernie tells you how to work for yourself and free yourself from that terrible boss. Instead of being someone elses slave, work for yourself! You will learn of the great freedom you will enjoy. Imagine not having to grovel and beg for a day off when you decide you have something you really want to do.
Since reading the book, Ive certainly spent many hours in coffee shops, a bit like Ernie. I took this book to heart and it has improved the quality of my life. You will realise there is much more than just working at something you hate, for someone you don't like. This book will cheer you up. I enjoyed Ernie's sense of humour. This book will liberate you. Buy it!
It should be entitled work for yourself and read our self motivated phrases which should help you to keep happy cos' the money won't so why am I writing such a book.

This book assumes the target person is independently wealthy, or has relatives who are delighted to let the person endlessly sponge off of them. What a waste of money this book was -- use the cost of this book to give the person an extra half-tank of gas and a local paper with job ads instead.
With the help of this book and it's ideas, now I'm a 37 year old guy who has never had to work in a 9 to 6 job, instead of that I have had different experiences doing fun jobs and now, since 10 years ago, I've worked as a magician with an outstanding salary in Mexico, working only 4 to 5 hours a week, and with a lot of spare time to do anything that I want.
So, if you are trapped in the rat race, as Robert Kiyosaki, like to call it, read this book, and maybe you could find an answer to find a better and more fulfilling job.
