Been running it for a month and pump is already broken.
Edit : 22/08/18 Finally got pump packaged up to be sent back for repair. Was speaking to the courier who picked it up, and he said they are getting many returns of the pumps, a good amount of them apparently giving off smoke.
Excellent product, goodvalue for money compared with similar products. Delivered exactly as promised. This product was bought for someone with a serious, chronic back problem, controlled by strong, pain-killing medication. Since using the product for 30 minutes a day she has not needed to take her medication. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Really like the Monaco hot tub as Iv had it for three years now I have come across very few issues. In the first year of ownership the blader cover had multiple holes so could not use but just use the blue standard cover which is not really a problem just a bit more hassle getting it on and off. Then in the third year the tub got a puncture which was a pain to fix as the repair patches aren't all that amazing but all being said it is goodvalue for money and definitely recommend as an alternative to a proper hot tub.
Quality purchase at an excellent price. The spa is a good size and comfortably seats between 4-6 adults. Anymore than that and I think it would be quite a squash! Our 6yo loves splashing in it without the jets on with friends. Set up is simple (follow the YouTube tutorials) and as with most spas upkeep is costly and can be time consuming but well worth the effort. Get to know what the error codes are on the display quickly as it does beep a lot! The jets are excellent and the temperature is perfect between 35-38° however it does take a while to reach optimum temperature (1-3 days) and it is worth keeping it at a decent ambient temperature for this reason. All in all an excellent purchase. Value for money.
Fantastic spa. It isn't the cheapest but in comparison to the competition it is so good it becomes goodvalue.
It looks smart, not like an oversized or gaudy kids swimming pool.
It is very easy, almost effortless to assemble and get operating.
It seems to heat up and retain the heat (based on friends comments) better than others.
Possibly most importantly, it has a large capacity and due to its method of construction takes up less space overall.
As I write this, we are into our second season of heavy use of this spa. It is not showing any signs of deterioration apart for a slight discoloration of the cover . as the cover is designed to protect it from the elements , takes a battering for the elements and does not affect its operation in any way I cant say I'm worried.
I would give 5 stars as I really love it, but it has a fault on the base, I don't know if anyone else has had the same thing. The floor of the tub has a very large blister type bubble. When I telephoned to report this, I was told this is nothing to worry about and will sort itself out in 6 to 8 weeks! It apparently needs to stretch. I don't know where it has to stretch to. I feel fobbed off. This is first day of using, so nothing to do with age or wear and tear.
Apart from that, I love it and it heats up great. Working out chemicals is a big tricky but not too bad, it's a learning curve for me. It is deep and feels very roomy. The grandkids are loving it too. The bubbles are good and not too noisy, wouldn't use the bubbles too late at night though.
All in all, goodvalue for money, does what it says on the box and very happy with it. Just wish it didn't have the large blister on the bottom.
Just an update on first review shown above. This is now 12th September and bubble/blister on floor of tub has not even started dissipating. I was told by customer services on phone give it 6 to 8 weeks. I don't think it's going to sort itself. I am really unhappy, but I will have to give it the cursory 8 weeks then I expect a replacement tub under faulty goods act. I love it, great value and fun but not happy sitting on a bubble. I have attached a couple of photos of bubble.
Really disappointed with our Lay-z-spa 'Monaco', which we purchased May 2016. We had a really good summer last year using recommended chemicals and cleaning regularly, packing it away for the winter and only refilling it again in April. Since we have started to use it again this year, we have had nothing but problems. The Pump has become noisy and you can't have a conversation over the noise, the seams of the pool body have started leaking and loose pressure within hours. Although we understand that this a more economical purchase than a 'Proper' hot tub, we had hoped to have more that a few months use out of it. If you want value for money don't waste you time with one of these!
The amount of space in these tubs is great, however mine has been used for less than two years and water leaks from the drain plug, it doesn't seal anymore. This would not be so bad if the tub was used outside, ours is located in a summer house and I can't use it now. Bestway were very helpful, NOT, told was out of warranty by a new liner at almost £500,.
Therefore Bestway pools are not goodvalue for money, steer clear
I bought this to replace an Mspa Super Camaro that broke 6 weeks out of warranty ... I thought the Mspa was great fun but this is a better product.
It is quicker to set up, has thin sides but comfy to lean against and is just, well, better made ! The motor is external and very, very quiet. It heats to 40c but in my opinion could do with being a couple of 'c' hotter. It's Ok but I would prefer hotter - like my Mspa. That said, as has been mentioned, this spa keeps the heat it has loads longer than my old Mspa. That was hotter but lost heat a lot, lot quicker than this spa. This is good for a couple of hours in it if you wish on a cold day.
When bubbling the heater turns off so beware of having the bubbles on too long if you want it to still heat up. The bubbles are not as much as the Mspa but more pleasing as you can talk and relax - overall they are more relaxing than the Mspa which was a bit aggressive with them on. The base of the spa is cushioned and comfy on it's own though 4 little blow up seat things are included ...
The external dimensions are the same as my Mspa but this is a lot bigger inside due to the thinner sides - this is far better and a great size. It says 4 people but you could get 6 in no problem ... the only issue might be water going over the sides as it fills quite high.
I am thoroughly pleased with this spa and the backup available - something I didn't get with the Mspa when it went wrong. I could definitely recommend this as goodvalue and loads of fun :)
