Any obstacle can be overcome. It's all about attitude and never, ever, giving up.
I learned those valuable lessons while working in forestry and in volunteering with my local therapeutic riding association. I have a passion for horses and under-dogs. I left big city life to pursue a career in forestry that lasted more than a decade and was one of the first women to ever be hired on a helitack crew, but when an outhouse became a luxury item, I knew it was time to move on.
Now I spend my time camping, kayaking, and writing. Sometimes, I still like to sing at a local jam. I have also started narrating my own children's books. I credit my mom for this, having grown up a back stage brat in Music Hall Theater. I have a great life, one that is devoted to family, nature, and the arts.
