Review

'Loved how this seamlessly flowed straight from the first book. Great, fast-paced, on-the-edge-of-your-seat read' Wendy Haines, NetGalley. 'Fun, entertaining, easy read. The author got me hooked' YC C, NetGalley. 'If you loved the first then you will love this because it has the same fast-paced, thrilling suspense that will have you turning pages so fast you'll be at risk of spraining the joints in your hand. Turn off the phone, stay away from social media and just let yourself dive full on into this book because it's worth the trip' Artistic Bent.

4 stars Gripping Thriller- But must read book 1 (wrong number) first.

My reasoning for 4 stars was due to the fact I didn't have the opportunity to read the first book.

Although it explained the back story I feel by not reading the first book I lacked the feel of background build up and anticipation.
I have since reading the book seen other reviews stressing the need to read the first book.

I wish i had read the reviews first.
As I think this has the potential to be 5 stars and above.

Don't get me wrong I did really enjoy Last Witness it was exciting and dangerous. Just what I love in a thriller.
I just felt I was missing the climax from the first book.

The main character Amanda sets out to protect the son (Ewan) of her deceased husband who is murdered.
She is determined to keep him safe no matter what. Even if it means walking into danger.

Amanda embarks on a journey into the murky and very dangerous criminal world in order to find her husband's killer and seek her revenge.

The story was fast paced and kept me interested the whole way through.
It was gripping, exciting and dangerous everything you need in a thriller.

There was also the blossoming connection between Amanda and her ex Shane. Who was by her side helping her to uncover the truth.

I would most certainly recommend this book, providing you have read the first book (Wrong Number).

I received this book from the Publisher in exchange for a honest and fair review via Netgalley.

My my my, Mrs Jones ...
What a great sequel to Wrong Number.
Following the death of her husband, Amanda Thorne, a nice, normal IT bod, is out for revenge. She knows who was responsible for her beloved's death and she isn't going to rest until she has avenged his death.
Last Witness is as fast paced and gritty as you would expect following Wrong Number. The storyline is slick and intelligent, if not a little far-fetched in places. This doesn't detract from the story line at all though, which is strange as when I read something that I find implausible, I tend to tune out and give up on the book, for some reason though, I felt compelled to keep reading, and I'm so glad I did!
As Amanda gets closer to the truth behind her husbands death, she is dragged deep into the depths of Scotland's criminal underworld ... She could be about to see her husband a lot sooner than she ever thought she would!
Last Witness is a great read and one I will be recommending!
