Product Description

Book Description

In the vein of Karen Rose, this is the second heart-stopping thriller by US rising star Kate Brady.

About the Author

Kate Brady began writing fiction when her doctoral research became tedious. Now a RITA award winning writer, she continues to lead a double-life. Some days she is a choral conductor and professor of music education. Other days, she plays with imaginary people on her computer. She is currently at work on her next novel.

Having fallen in love with Kate's writing style a few titles ago, it's become a bit of a guilty pleasure when the new title lands. I pick up some snacks, a couple of cans of pop and then get myself all snuggled into my duvet to get the full reading experience. You see, once you start, its pretty damn hard to put this authors books down. She has a unique writing style that you can spot from a distance backed up with characters that really do leap off the page into your imagination which, when backed up with a really good real world type of scare leave you feeling that you've gotten something special. Whilst this is a great thing for most authors, Kate's writing style takes it further, so much so, that you really will be gripped to the last page.

Three and a half stars. Good characters and weaving plot but otherwise pretty much run of the mill whodunnit. The best bit was prior to finding out who the killer was when things were still wide open.... this was far too early in the book for my liking.

Whilst I kept on reading, annoyed at ultimate transparency

prefer something more based in reality. Bit too unrealistic for me
