Abby is in the air and on her way to check out a potential filming location but since she has a morbid fear of flying, getting there in one piece without gnawing her way through the arm of the chair will be a major achievement. Luckily for her she is “comforted” by a friendly fellow passenger, the handsome Gage.
I wanted them to have it all but it took off at such a pace I wasn’t sure that they would be able to keep up. The attraction between the two of them was off the scales but that they had was always on a countdown, its expiry date was looming and they both knew it. Could they find a way to pick up their weekend and have a long distance relationship…heck was that even what they wanted?
I could have kicked Gage when he was the one to walk away, believing that it was in Abby’s best interest…fool! But there is something there that just won’t let go, wont give him peace and when he eventually sees sense, it was definitely California calling!
The story was a quick read and I think that because of the pace of the relationship I was ready for the end when it came but what I wasn’t ready for was the fact that I thought I was missing a chunk of their history, I wanted a little bit more of what made them tick as individuals.
Well written and certainly engaging this was a super way to while away the hours.
Gage and Abby have an instant attraction to each other which leads to things heating up quickly (some won’t like how quick and the circumstances but if you can be open minded you will be ok). Both characters, who alternate points of views, are likeable and have a cute relationship that develops at a very fast pace, although towards the end of the book, there is a slightly longer period covered. Given the pace, the sexual content in the book worked well given the set-up of the book and the strong intense chemistry that the two characters have together. To truly enjoy this book you do have to be open to insta-attraction (not quite insta-love but not the longest period of time).
The book is well written and a solid, sweet, typical contemporary romance. Obviously being a fast paced romance, there is limited development in terms of a relationship but the amount of time they spend together after getting trapped added a level of believability to the relationship and connection that develops from the initial instant attraction. There is a HEA to make this a standalone read with all ties tied up for this couple.
Overall, I enjoyed this book for a light-hearted quick read and would recommend it to any romance fans out there, especially those open to instant attraction and hook-ups.
*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from Entangled Publishing. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
It was meant to be a one night stand. One wicked night with an irresistibly sexy passenger. That’s all Air Marshal Gage Michaels can afford – his career comes before everything else. Too bad the snowpocalypse of the century has different plans for him and Abby Winters. Abby’s scouting of a NYC penthouse should be quick, simple and definitely shouldn’t include a sexy man messing up the 3000 count sheets that will be featured in her company’s next blockbuster hit. Still she can’t refuse what the weather gods so obviously want her to have. She’ll give in just this once. Neither of them realised just how hard it would be to say goodbye!
Phew!! This is one hot book. The first thing I want to know is which plane can I get where there will be a Gage sitting next to me? He is seriously HOT! Granted I only ever travel with my husband which could be a problem but a girl can still dream right??
I thought this book was really well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was laughing so much at the beginning when Abby accidently grabbed Gage during the turbulence on the plane.
The chemistry between Abby and Gage was off the scale! I really liked both of the characters. Gage was a true romantic but had a dominating wild side in the bedroom – sounds pretty perfect to me!
I guess the story was a little on the predictable side but I still enjoyed it and I read it fairly quickly which means it kept my interest! A couple of the statements in the book are a little on the repetitive side but I don’t think it bothered me like it has in other books I’ve read. It could be because I was totally in love with Gage to notice anything else! He’s so dreamy!
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I don’t think it will be the last.
I give Landing the Air Marshal 4 snowy stars!
