They took a while to arrive, but I knew this before ordering - they ship from Hong Kong or China (for less than a pound each, somehow!).
It was extremely easy to screw my Phillips Hue lamps into these. There's a bit of an unpleasant grating sound, but the fit is secure and I trust these socket converters to hold my lamps.
All three of my lamps work with these. The converters do get a little bit warm, but certainly not warm enough to melt (or even be uncomfortable to the touch)! The Phillips Hue lamps are rated at 9 Watts.
It's probably not a concern, but these are 3 cm long - which could make your lamps stick out too much, e.g. in a desk lamp. Fortunately, I just got a Taotronics desk lamp and it lights my desk up extremely well - and has 7 brightnesses, and 5 colour temperatures. Though that's not quite as customisable as a Hue lamp, you can change the settings extremely quickly. Desk Lamp, TaoTronics LED Table Lamps Dimmable Touch Eye-Care with USB Charger Port (12W, Silver, Adjustable Aluminum Arm & Head, Slide Touch-Sensitive Control Panel, No Dark Area, No Ghosting, No Glaring)
The converters doesn't interfere with Phillips Hue lamp's connection to the Hue Bridge, so you don't need to worry about that.
All in all, these are cheap, and they work. They could take a while to arrive, and they're cheap, so I'd recommend buying them as early as possible.
If you found this review helpful, please give me a "Yes!" - and if it didn't help you decide if you want this product, give it a "No!". Hopefully you can enjoy your Hue lamps in the near future - they're a lot of fun!

At the price of these adapters really not worth sending them back for refund, postage alone will cost same as the product. DON'T BUY THESE unless you want your light bulbs not to work. In the end bought new lamps with don't need an adapter and they work perfectly.
The items looked 'fit for the job' but when I tried them, they were a fraction too short and did not make contact at the bottom of the socket. I was not surprised as one or two replacement bulbs had had the same problem in the light fitting! I easily removed a couple of mm from the top of the socket which allowed the converters to fit correctly making a full electrical contact. As I had had the same problem with another convertor as will as with a bulb of a well respected brand I put this down the the existing light fitting NOT the convertor.
The convertors do the job and are a reasonable price - what more can I ask for?
